Very nice place. Like most reviews indicate, there is a lot of light at night and the curtains do almost nothing. We hung towels over the windows and glass door to block it out. Otherwise, the staff is friendly and the property is well looked after. Good spot to relax and catch some beach days.

Fantastically friendly staff; they have a little museum with replicas of many important objects from around Crete and original coins and notes from history, as well as a bicycle made for two! The hotel has a wonderful location with beautifully maintained grounds and a lovely large pool with sun loungers. Our room was quite large and located on the beachfront, right in front of the beach. I visited the hotel twice. In both visits, I enjoyed a wonderful week at this hotel and I highly recommend it. We spent two nights in this very nice, family-run hotel. Service was super-friendly always with a smile. We had one of the newly renovated rooms which was really good for our family of four. The location is good and the breakfast is barely acceptable. There are two disadvantages. First, there is no sea view. Second, the front desk is a bit inconvenient at 8 am and 10 pm. If you go out every day or work, and just sleep in the room, it is actually a good choice.

Heartful service and all in all, a decent hotel to relax with the family. Central location in Platanias is a huge plus as well, while being still quiet. Roof terrace was a cool addition as well, and guests are welcome to stay and store luggage even after check out, which was indeed helpful to us.

Stamakis studios, is one of the big reasons we travel to Platanias every year. Konstantinos and his wife are the best host in the world. Simple and inexpensive accommodations. Beach is right there! Clean and well-kept. Wifi was almost pointless- barely got any signal. Shower was tiny, water gets everywhere even with best efforts to keep curtain in place. We were only there to sleep so it was fine. If you wanted a place to hang out it had no character or charm.

The place is located just a few meters from the beach whereas the hotel have their own place with different options for beach beds. I highly recommend you to stay at this place.

A family-run, friendly small but very nice hotel. The view of the beach and the small island opposite the hotel was priceless. The staff was very friendly but also busy trying to please everyone. Some renovation work is being done and is being tidied up.

Very nice location with the hotel AT the beach. You are at the pool and you can hear the ocean. The double rooms are nice and good size. Could maybe use an extra shelve, but it is very cozy. Customer service was very good. I felt the food was mediocre and the rules around the all inclusive package were poor. You can only enjoy non branded vodka and scotch at happy hour or pay for brand name anytime. Not cool for a 3star. The menu was restricted as well!

Family-friendly; the room was spatious, the grounds were kept beautifully, the pools were nice and warm. Staff was very friendly also. The beach is across the street but accessible but my wife and I prefer the pools with our 5 yr old daughter who loves to swim. The breakfast buffet was among the best we've had.
