On arrival we were shown to our room which was not the sea front suite that we had paid for!! On complaining we were told that it would be ready the next day which of course was totally unacceptable. Where do I start. We arrived early hours of the morning. It was our honeymoon and when we got to the room they had decorated the door with a bow champagne and a love heart cake which was lovely. A bit late in posting this review, we visited the hotel in May, for 14 nights and had a wonderful time. Fantastic adult only hotel, the staff were amazing from welcoming us to the resort to leaving the bar staff made sure we were looked after..even going the extra mile to go to their sister hotel before work to ensure I had my favourite drink in to last for the delivery. It is a beautiful hotel, practical if you want to visit the north west of the island, or even the south west (car required). Food was ok, ice cream and drinks were local, not so good. The worst thing was that my engagement and wedding rings stolen from room. The main Platanias village on a hill is a 15 minute walk and Chania is 30 minutes away on regular crowded buses (with a stop right outside). The structure, for the external part, is really very beautiful, with large spaces and a beautiful beach. The two swimming pools are basically only usable by children, since they are not very big. The rooms leave much to be desired in terms of comfort: we stayed in the residence area and they are very spartan (small wardrobe for 4, uncomfortable beds).

We stayed at Thalassa for 3 nights and had an awesome experience. The resort was really beautiful with multiple restaurants and a beautiful beach. Reserved hotel at 3/2023 for 2 families and asked rooms next to each other via email. When we arrived to hotel 9/2023 they said that this is not possible since hotel is full. Very nice hotel. Modern and clean. The service was great. They arranged a birthday celebration for our four year old girl and it was wonderful. The food was very tasty. Nice hotel close to the beach and great buffet

Excellent stay. Clean room with small kitchen/fridge area in building set back about 200 feet from the beach. My room had a private balcony overlooking the beach with a terrific view. Off street free parking right in front of the apartment. Area has several restaurants within a few minutes walk and nice beach for swimming/windsurfing. Great communication with management. Definitely recommended

Pluses: Great staff and manager. Excellent food, great location. Nice room, good air-conditioning, well-kept surroundings. Minuses: Bathroom and toilet in the room- water everywhere, no privacy as the walls are made of milk glass, no wardrobe, just hangers

Bon hôtel adults only, chambre propre, belle vue sur la mer quand on est dans le bâtiment annexe. Personnel super, toujours un petit bonjour en anglais. Juste un petit point plus négatif : il faut des fois faire très attention pour traverser la rue qui sépare le bâtiment annexe du restaurant de l'hôtel. Un petit passage pour piétons ne serait pas un luxe.

Lovely hotel, really well positioned for the beach and tavernas. Breakfast good choice. The only two things that let it down, was the view from the balcony of somebodies big knickers on a washing line everyday and the fact that maid left the clean sheets on the top of the bed for us to make up ourselves!
