Abella Hotel in Agia Marina

Hotel is small and peaceful, all staff were wonderful and very helpful. Great snacks and beers daily from the pool bar. Would return again for sure. Local shops and restaurants very close by and beach easy accessible too.

The room was large and comfortable and the staff were friendly

We liked everything about this hotel. It's next to beach, restaurants, and shopping. Perfect location!!!. Staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel and area.

Lovely Location and Spacious Stay with a Few Areas
Location is great even though getting to the hotel requires a steep hill :). Short walk to the many restaurants. Check in very simple.
The room is very spacious and is great! When we arrived we noticed that the AC was very dirty. This was cleaned immediately the next day. The hotel could use an internal refresh other than that it’s fine.
Would recommend to have beach towels. Since these were not available the first night we were only
Given on the second night and we were charged at the pool establishment for such towels.

I absolutely love this little hotel. Stayed last year and returned with the family this year. It’s such a lovely place, with a beautiful pool to relax round, it’s never overcrowded, no Sunbed wars like other places. Bar prices are reasonable with happy hour from 6-8 daily. Rooms are spotless, ours was cleaned and towels changed everyday which was fantastic. Bus stop is right outside to get easily into Chania. Beach is just across the road with a mass of beach bars to choose from to spend the day. Everything is on your doorstep. I highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful Stay
The hotel owners and staff are exceptional, cocktails are very good and the hotel is very clean. We had a double room and the bed is very comfortable, the bathrooms are tiny but we got used to it. It’s in easy reach of the beach 3 min walk, shops restaurants, and the bus stop to china is outside, we found the bus service very unreliable (we waited 1hr 15mins) having got there at 8 to get into Chania early before the crowds. There was never a time we could not get a sunbed even though the hotel was full, we moved rooms on the last night due to extending our stay, it was nice gave the bedroom separate and great for a family with a child. The only downside was apart from breakfast there is no restaurant, there is a fridge with sandwiches which I think are heated, but there is a restaurant directly outside does takeaways. You will not be disappointed if you book Abella

Again we had a fantastic stay at this lovely, family-run hotel in Agia Marina. The hotel features a charming pool area with plenty of sunbeds available at all times, making it a perfect spot to relax throughout the day. The apartments were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with good-quality beds and tiled bathrooms. We especially loved the sea view from our balcony The pool bar offering a nice selection of coffees, milkshakes, beers, cocktails, and light snacks. The entire property was very well-maintained and spotless. Highly recommended for a relaxing holiday in Crete!

The artificial and real grass was great for little children. Pool was always fresh and clean. Views from the room to the sea was spectacular. Great value for money.

We have just returned from a lovely stay at the Abella. This is a comfortable, clean and relaxing place to stay in Agia Marina. The vibe here is pure relaxation and enjoyment which is cultivated by Natalie and Kostas, who go out of their way to ensure their guests have a wonderful time. They are always on hand to offer advice on places to eat and visit. We were so impressed with the high standards of cleanliness around the pool area. Kostas maintains and cleans the pools daily. The Hotel is rich in Family tradition and history and has lots of repeat guests, some of which we had the pleasure to meet during our visit. Theodore and Elanyi do a great job of looking after guests at the bar and the happy hour from 6-8 pm is great value. Thank you so much to all at the Abella for a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. We had a double room with a sea view. It had everything needed for our 4 night stay. Having the sea view was nice but the hotel is very close to the main road (up a steep driveway) which is loud and busy all day and well into the night. The shutter and door did block a lot of the noise but I'd suggest earplugs if you are a light sleeper. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and not like a concrete slab as is often the case in Greece.
The bathroom was modern although small and the water pressure was one of the best we've had in Greece.
The pool area was well kept and being behind the block of rooms it was very quite considering the proximity of the hotel to the road.
The staff were very nice and friendly. We ate from the lunch snack menu twice which was nice and good prices.
