The hotel exceeded all expectations: it is located right by the sea, with a beautiful pool, an amazing view from the window, clean, and tastefully decorated. The staff is friendly. Just a five-minute walk from the hotel there is a local boulevard with a huge number of restaurants, a grocery store, and an excellent butcher’s shop. Very close by there is a small port where you can rent a boat or take a ride on a motorboat. In the town, you can rent a car or enjoy a train ride around the surroundings. The hotel also offers free bicycles.

We loved Blue Dome. It looks just like the photos and has a great feel to it, the sound of the sea, the attentive staff, the lovely pool and restaurant. Accommodation is really good, spacious, comfortable, well appointed with lovely balconies. Cleaned regularly with clean bedding and towels 2-3 times a week. Location is great, it’s calm yet just minutes away from shops, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, mini golf…. Chania is less than a half hour drive (but difficult to park). We stayed for a week in September 2025 in a 2 apartments, both with sea view which was a real bonus, a 2 bed and a 1 bed. Thank you to everyone at Blue Dome, we had a wonderful time.

The room was clean, but poorly designed. We were in our room and could not use the closet or dresser because the doors don't open because the bed was in the way. Our family members stayed in a different room and had a totally different tv then ours and channels. They had a smart tv, and we had a computer screen. The room was comfortable and we had a great view of the water. No front desk after 6pm and bar closes at 9. I would say it’s good for those who want quiet and relaxation. Cleaning crew was good. We didn't eat the breakfast or try the restaraunt as we were up and going before they opened. Overall it wasn't bad but I thought it would be a lot better based on the instagram page and price of hotel. Still not a bad place though and I would recommend it to my elders.

We had a lovely time at Blue Dome Hotel. When we arrived we were greeted by the nicest staff member who showed us all the way to the room and provided the best service ever.
Only negatives is the fact that there are very limited sunbeds and one morning at breakfast we were completely forgotten about and didn’t receive service until 30 minutes after we had been seated.
On the day of checkout a lady also opened the door to our room (we had the do not disturb sign up) and told us to hurry up even though checkout wasn’t until 1,5 hours later.
Other than that the staff at the counter, bar and restaurant were all very lovely and helpful. We would love to come back. ☀️

We have just arrived home after 10 days at the Blue Dome. The hotel is literally on the beach it’s amazing. We stayed in room 512 which is a beach and pool view it was perfect for our family of four. The hotel is very well kept and the vibe is laid back and relaxed. The staff are lovely nothing is too much trouble they are friendly and super professional. The area of platanias has lots of restaurants and bars most of which are very good quality. Take the bus into Chania you won’t be disappointed the winding streets and stunning harbour are a must see.

We have just left after a great week at the Blue Dome hotel. The location of the hotel right on the beach - as well as still close to shops, restaurants etc - is amazing. We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment and the standard was high. Breakfast was delicious - it was a la carte choices supplemented with a board with bread, pastries fruit etc. The hospitality and helpfulness from the staff was very high and professional. The hotel is very clean. We truly enjoyed our stay at Blue Dome Hotel.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. We booked directly from the hotel website and the staff were super helpful right from the beginning. The kids really enjoy swimming pool, we enjoyed the delicious breakfast outdoor overlooking the bay and island. All the staff were super helpful and special thanks to Cosmin and his colleagues who looked after us everyday for the breakfast time and helped prepare some early breakfast to take away when we had planned a day out in the boat. You can walk to 4 - 5 restaurants down the beach easy distance within 10minutes for lovely evening meal watching sunset. Glad we came to Chania and decided to stay at Blue Dome for the kids summer holidays. Sweet spot on the beach for a nice holiday. Shops and supermarket are 5mins walk. Main bus stop at Platanias Square for easy access to anywhere. Chania old town about 20mins on the bus. Platanias port where you take daily boat for island and diving is 10min walk down the beach. Overall very glad we found this place .

Absolutely lovely hotel, right on the beach with lovely staff. About three minutes walk from the strip with loads of restaurants and shops to wander around. We had a full kitchen in our room which was lovely although we didn’t use it much except the fridge. No problems with sunbeds as we were right on the beach with loads of beds on the beach from the hotel too. Breakfast was waitress or waiter service with a bit of a fixed menu but lovely choices. Really friendly staff and would definitely go back again

The room was perfectly fine – clean and nicely presented. However, we had significant issues with the breakfast service. It was not a buffet, and we had to wait a very long time for our food to arrive. The same happened when we ordered drinks during the day – we once waited 40 minutes for just two cocktails. But there was one bartender named Cozmin who truly stood out. He made excellent cocktails, worked quickly, and was always friendly with the guests – he really deserves praise. The hotel’s location is excellent, right by the sea and very close to the city. Overall, the hotel was good; the only downside was the slow service.

We loved our stay at Blue Dome. We traveled with kids and we had a see view apartment with big rooms, extensible sofas, big comfortable bed and a kitchenette. The rooms are very well isolated, clean and spacious. At the pool area is also a small pool for children (40 cm). The hotel is on the beach but close to main street with shops and restaurants, also there are free parking slots. The restaurant is nice: great greek salad and tzatziki ( best tried from Platanias). For sure we will come back. Regards to the best staff!
