Santa Helena Hotel in Platanias

After a 2weeks staying we have mixed feelings about this hotel.
There is many things this hotel can improve.
First of all this is rated as a Apollo Mondo selected hotel which stand for good standard, service and location.
Location of the hotel was fantastic and scored full pot, but..
Most of the hotel staff in reception was not service minded at all, they seems like they had a bad day at work, everyday.
When arrived first day we did not feel a warm welcome,neither did we got any information of our staying other than a pice of A4 paper.

We had the double room with pool view in section 9.
The room itself was of good standard, 2 ballcoons and was ok furnished with a small kitchen, but missed shelfs and hooks on wall to hang clothes on.
The main bed and pillow was good, but personally I dont like the shared duvet.
The kid beds was 2 couches put together, these could be alittle softer according to them.
A big minus was they did not change the bed sheet on any days during our 14day stay.

Bathroom was small and there was not any shelfs to put bathroom belongings.
The shower did not have any pressure at all and the selecting of overhead or showerhead did not work properly.
Another big minus for us who liked our morning workout, there is no warm water in the morning.
Shower towels only replace 2times a week, but after notifying reception we got new every room cleaning.

Need to be early in the morning to get sunbeds.
Poolarea is ok, but very dirty pools. Did not see any one take samples of pool or any other confirmation it was ok.
It is not allowed to bring own drink/snacks to pool area.
Pool bar is a bit overpriced and waiters have not control over your order as they often came with wrong / not our food.
Early morning breakfast including light snacks, coffee and fruit did not excist even this was informed to us.
It is not allowed to bring coffee to the sunbeds, my wife got chased down by one of the waiter that came after her to inform her.

Resturant had good food with a varying of varm and cold food.
A plus was the staff did set tables for all 17 in our family group every night.

Gym area had worn equipment and did not look as the picture on their website at all.

Kids room did not excist, even they have picture of it on the website.
They have built this room to arcade room where everything cost.

We will miss the location and some of the staff.
But this hotels lacks alot on the service side that give this score.
