The staff was very friendly and the yoga teacher was excellent. The property is beautiful and the restaurant is very good. We spent 5 days in the Rethymno Palace as a couple, our teenage daughter and 4 of her friends. It's a nice hotel with indoor and outdoor pool and direct access to beach and sea. To say we were disappointed is an under statement! 5 star it is not! There were a lot of weeds by the pool, toilets out of order and leaking everywhere. I do not expect a 5 star hotel to have manky shower curtains! The room was adequate but only cleaned every other day and not to a good standard. Considering you cannot flush toilet paper, the bin was changed every other day! The staff are friendly...

Great hotel. Very good food, plenty to choose from. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are delicious, with local produce, fruits, vegetables, and cheeses. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel. I recommend the bar and the bartender, Theona. Every employee is kind and friendly. I highly recommend it.

Overall good hotel. Room numbers a bit old, but service is good and very good people who works there. Beach close to the hotel and mini market and car rental right in front of hotel is nice benefit either. But for active young couple a bit boring, this hotel more for the family with kids or elder people.

There were upgrades available. They showed up all our options and the additional prices. We chose one of the upgrades. This room was large and comfortable. They remembered our names.

We arrived at the hotel yesterday with my mom, and everything has been amazing so far! Even though check-in is from 2 p.m., they let us check in around 12:30 and even offered us breakfast right after arrival — which was such a nice surprise. The food is excellent! The manager delivered a very nice gesture to me and my partner to celebrate our engagement he is definitely a people person the hotel staff are excellent nothing is any trouble to them. Very helpful and friendly staff from cleaners, reception, bar staff, restaurant and especially animation team who struck the right balance between encouraging you to take part without being pushy. Wrong start at the beginning, room was overbooked for the 1ste day. They helped us to the other hotel and we could still use the facilities of the hotel. Did get a compensation. We have had the most relaxing week here at Blue Dream Palace , the staff go over and above to make your stay memorable.
