Athens Marriott Hotel in Athens

This is a lovely hotel. Our room was perfect. Lots of towels, robes and slippers. Very nice sized frig and housekeeping was very good. For qualifying members, food and service was terrific daily. Although I must suggest that you leave the food out until the stated time.
Breakfast is amazing! We thought so and I overheard another guest describe it as the best he's ever had in a hotel.
If you do the: hop on hop off busses,as we are there is a stop in front for the 2 main companies (we prefer the big bus brand)
If you're going to Athens, the Athens Marriott is a nice place to come home to after a full day of being a tourist. Oh and BTW? check out the roof top resterraut yummy!

Nice place

The Athens Marriott has an excellent location—right in the middle of everything. The hotel offers valet parking, the rooms are clean, and the staff are friendly. Breakfast has a good variety of options.

The only area for improvement is the club lounge. The TV didn’t work properly, and the water and Coke machines often spilled onto the floor. I would suggest moving the lounge to the rooftop. Additionally, non-members were frequently accessing the lounge, which caused issues for the staff during my stay.

Overall, a very good stay with room for some improvements in the lounge experience.

The Athens Marriott is a beautiful hotel, but what truly makes it unforgettable is the service and staff.
From the moment I arrived, Mary Ann went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. She is, without a doubt, the heart of the Athens Marriott. Her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made every interaction a joy. She has that rare gift of making guests feel like family, always greeting everyone with a sincere smile and anticipating needs before you even have to ask. Mary Ann isn’t just good at her job—she’s extraordinary, and she’s the number one reason my stay is always so memorable.

I also want to thank Harry and Nikos, who are both always incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Their energy and dedication to excellent service never goes unnoticed, and they both truly add to the wonderful experience.

Together, Mary Ann, Nikos and Harry exemplify the high standards and hospitality that make the Athens Marriott stand out among the best hotels in the world. I can’t recommend this hotel enough, and I look forward to returning—especially to see the amazing and beautiful Mary Ann again.

One of the standout highlights of our stay has been the exceptional service from Mary Ann, the hostess in the lobby. She greets us every day with a warm smile and always makes us feel welcome, especially at the breakfast area. Her ability to speak multiple languages and her genuine willingness to help make her truly outstanding.

The breakfast is delicious, with a great variety of options to choose from, and the rooms are incredibly comfortable. On top of that, the hotel’s location is perfect—convenient and central to everything we need.

A Memorable Stay at Athens Marriott ✨

I’ve been fortunate to travel around the world and stay at many hotels, but the Athens Marriott truly stood out — thanks in large part to one exceptional staff member, Mary Ann. Her warm, genuine smile is contagious, and it’s clear she truly loves what she does. Despite the busy hours, she remained friendly, helpful, and composed, making every guest feel welcome.

She even recommended we dine at E&O Restaurant at the rooftop garden — and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious, the ambiance was amazing, and the service was excellent.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and I appreciated the hotel’s location — just outside the busy city center, offering a peaceful stay with the convenience of a shuttle bus service.

I highly recommend this hotel, and amazing staff like Mary Ann. 🥰

The location is average, the transportation is not convenient. The service is OK, but the rooms near the street are very noisy, the sound insulation is relatively poor, and there are all kinds of car and motorcycle noises downstairs in the middle of the night.

The breakfast was good. It was the only hotel I had seen that had hot soup for breakfast. The cleaning was also timely. The attitude of the front desk staff was average. The attitude of the staff I met when I checked out was particularly bad. They actually charged us for the mineral water that the staff brought to the room every day and put in the refrigerator. We stayed for six nights and spent 30 or 40 euros for a room. Each bottle of mineral water was 2 euros, and the supermarket only sold two bottles for 1 euro. The main problem was that this was the first time I encountered a hotel that charged for the mineral water that was delivered every day. Weird things happen everywhere.
