Zeus Thessaloniki Lazart Hotel in Thessaloniki

The Hotel itself is OK, location is pleasant, rooms are fine despite being a bit aged and broken (it's Greece, we're used to it).
However their organization for holidays and events is TERRIBLE.
We've been there for New Years Eve, hotel was packed and the Restaurant is WAY too small for all the groups that they agreed to accommodate. Tables were packed like sardines (80 people in a room for 30), there was no way to move from your chair or you risked to bump other people from other tables, also very hard to go between tables. Forget about dancing, DJ himself was put next to the deserts and food. Whole atmosphere was cramped and depressing, completely ruined our New Years Celebration.
Speaking of the food, again nothing special, buffet like every day, not corresponding of even 5 start Hotel quality on a normal day, let alone for New Years. To top it all off we wanted to order some kind of Champagne / Sparkling wine for New Years, they had none in stock and gave us a complimentary bottle of.... Sparkling Water.
We stayed two more days, when most groups checked out and we were alone. The last evening we had the A la Carte Menu and it was delicious. Breakfast was OK on all days, but it's recommended to go in shifts as the restaurant is too small to accomodate everyone. So in summary - for everyday stay it's OK, nothing special, for any bigger events - Big NO NO.

I rarely write reviews about my stays in hotels around the world, but for this hotel I feel compelled to do so. The condition of the rooms is average. The cleanliness is good. The main problem of this hotel is the organization of events. The organization of the celebration for welcoming the New Year 2026 was a complete failure. Low-quality food, poorly prepared and in insufficient quantity. All hotel guests were crammed into a small hall, with no space even to move around. There was a lack of organization regarding the seating of guests. The result was unsatisfied people and a ruined celebration.
I am addressing the management team of this hotel.
Dear LAZART, it is not difficult to predict how many tables and chairs are needed and in how many halls to seat the people who trusted you and decided to spend their money in your hotel. If you are unable to handle this, it would be better to change your profession. If you are doing this intentionally in order to save on food, drinks, and staff so as to achieve higher profit, then all the worse for you. As you should know, the hotel business is a business of trust, and a satisfied customer is the measure of your work. This New Years Eve, you failed. I wish you success in organizing future events of this kind.

My stay in Thessaloniki
When I checked in there was just one person who was on the phone, I met my friends in the bar and went again to check in she was still on the phone, It was almost impossible to get a drink in the bar you had to go to reception and ask for service.
The pool was closed off as it was the end of the season,in September!!! I was so looking forward to a swim.
