Had an excellent massage with Maria- i had the Cretan massage and it both relieved a lot of pressure and deeply relaxed me (she had to wake me up at the end). Highly recommend. Awesome resort! I only gave 4 stars on location because it’s not on the beach, however being on a mountain provides exceptional views, shuttles run to the beach and town daily and only 5 and 15 minutes away. At all - everything was good, hotel is 2 minutes from the beach and very close to the central street, where you can walk, food is very variable and delicious, but the room needs to be more comfortable, it was small, coffee machine didnt work, ypu have to buy water separate. Regular visitor to Crete and use this beach on a regular basis. Beach is nice and clean, water clear and Sandy. No problems getting in and out of the water. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for: the positive and friendly staff, the cuisine, the location, and the many facilities for guests (such as free sunbeds). There were many different activities and evening events that helped us have fun. We had the opportunity to try many local delicious dishes - definitely a point for which to stay at this hotel.

After looking forward to this holiday to arriving, firstly to be hit with the tourist tax, 5* hotel defo only for the tax, this hotel is not a 5*, although the the hotel was clean we felt this was the only positive. Hersonissos palace was a lovely place to stay. Our room was standard. It was clean with a lovely shower. Maids worked very hard and cleaned our room every day. The hotel is very good. Everything was perfect. We have little bit trouble with the air conditioning. Sometimes was too loud. The staff was perfect, mainly men in the bar. They were very nice and did great drinks. I really recommended this hotel for people who want to experienced romantic atmosphere, great food and nice place.

There are plenty of good rooms and very good service. They treat you very well. The beach is with rocks so you need to have swimming shoes. The pool is moderate, but very good. Not so many chairs for lying down near the swimming pool. Based on the number of rooms they need to add more. There is no air conditioning in the room ( it is on the wall, but doesnt work) it is impossible to sleep at night. I talked to the reception several times, despite my requests, they didn't do anything about it
