If your flight gets cancelled and you're reading this review, the hotel isn't all that bad. The staff were nice and so was the food. Be sure to take a trip to the supermarket opposite as they had some amazing cheap food. Check the fruit aisle! Mot much else around worth exploring.

Scala de Faro is a small, historic boutique hotel in Chania, Crete. Great loction well away from busy areas. Its quiet a drive from the airport so if travelling outside a package holiday check taxi fares. Beautiful views and you can hire cars really cheaply to explore other parts of the island of Crete.

Near to the beach, every staff is really friendly and helpful . The breakfast is excellent and diverse. The room is big and nice and the location is good near the centre of city . You can even borrow books from the hotel during your stay. I would definitely come here again :)

Food was ok, ice cream and drinks were local, not so good. The worst thing was that my engagement and wedding rings stolen from room. Of course my own fault that I did not put it to safety box, but not very reliable staff. The chief of hotel says that there is no thiefs and I have myself lose it somewhere.
