The place is good. Would come again. Staff great and helpful. Food plentiful and varied. Only thing that holds it back from a good 5 star is that our room was tired and dated although perfectly serviceable.

Came here by chance, our hotel was not for us. When started vparivat what that five was not that funny. Main disadvantages: food very well like dvoichnyi the hotel, the front Desk staff is quite adequate and good

The bars reminded of the Soviet waiters, you are almost unpleasant neojidannost, in the lobby bar in a rough form hinted that I climb not in the box. The room has a stove but no zero no utensils

We had a great experience: the hotel is very well located in front of the beach, facilities are great, the staff is extremely helpful and the food was very good. Highly recommend.

The food, greek and international, was great at all occasions (don't miss out the traditional greek dinner you can have at the beach bar). Only, during dinner the restaurant could be a bit crowded, loud

Nice five star hotel with direct beach access. The beach is sandy (in some places a small pebbly strip when entering the water). The wifi in the hotel works fine

We booked a 2wk holiday all inclusive. We up graded to a full Seaview room it was worth every penny. Rooms fabulous kept lovely by house keepers

On the negative: - Standard rooms are a bit too small - Lack of storage space - Insufficient illumination in the bathroom - Several broken sunshades at the east pool - 0

Georgia at the hotel bar, made me feel equally welcome The room was perfect! Overlooking the sea. Just wonderful Facilities, perfect! Used the gym, and spa. Both pools great with superb views

Around the pools and on the beach the staff would come and take drinks orders and deliver them to us. A big shout out to Manwella who was just amazing

Bus stop 29 is a a 5 min walk from the hotel and takes you to Héraklion for only 4 Euro per person! Ignore the review that says no direct access to the beach from the hotel (unless you require step free access)

The food was delicious and there's SO much choice. The beach is just a short walk too and a great way to spend the day and watch the sunrise. All round perfect week away and a little bit disappointed to be home so soon

Perfect for families with children. The staff is outstanding and very responsive to answer any questions you might have. They are quick in responding to your emails. It's a little bit of a walk to the beach

As we stayed towards the end of the season, the staff had really started to reduce, leaving two young people covering reception, they did not have a day off in the 10 days we were there, even though they were working long hours they they stayed really friendly and always helpful

Third visit back to the Gaia Palace. Staff were absolutely amazing and very friendly throughout our visit. We stayed in a superior double room which was excellent

The beautiful sandy beach with bar and toilets is a short walk with free sun beds for Gaia Palace guests

Lovely clean hotel. We went all-inclusive so had a good selection of food and drinks. Plenty of sunbeds and pools so it never looked busy. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday I would recommend staying here.

We did not book this hotel but, like a number of English holidaymakers, were transferred from others we presumed were closed as the season staggered to an end

With so few residents, there were plenty of free sun beds around the pool and on the beach; whilst the music was non-stop, the volume was appropriate, unobtrusive and from our era - the ‘60s and early ‘70s!! The town is a twenty minutes stroll away along the beach front with a wide range of shops and restaurants

We were lucky as we had 36 hours’ notice: others were told on arrival at Athens airport! As this had given us time to read the reviews on TripAdvisor, we were quite concerned at what we would find but I’m pleased to say it was a wholly positive experience

We were in bungalow 426, a clean, comfy base. Reception staff were pleasant and efficient, as were all front-line members. The hotel was quiet - certainly not much more than one-third full - and this was to our advantage

We deliberately chose a hotel that allows pets, so it should be pet-friendly. After this incident, we will not choose your hotel again. Last year, we also stayed for 3 nights and did not let us go out to eat

3 pools and less than 100 sunbeds for the whole of the hotel which supposably has well over 100 rooms, only 1 bottle of water on arrival rest of the time buy your own, the hotel water tasted as though it had purification tablets in, food very hit and miss one night my sister and myself had fish in a sauce, both of which were not cooked in the middle, taken away by a very reluctant manager

A good hotel, the food is prepared with high quality and tasty, but for breakfast there are always the same dishes. The staff is friendly, polite. To the sea min 5 walk, their sun loungers only by the pools

Certainly not a 5* hotel, the bar at the hotel was round the pool, so sat on plastic chairs at night, staff working there not very friendly, the beach bar was fabulous and Mike is a lovely chap who certainly knows how to run a bar and make good drinks

Lovely stay, once more. Kind staff, willing to help with anything you may need. Tasteful meals and a top burger dinner at Know bar, overlooking the sea. Overall, a repeat and repeat experience!

My only circumstances are bottled water is not free. Toilets not on same level as pool especially with children. -1 floor for indoor pool could potentially have a sauna /steam room to enhance the experience

Friendly staff, rooms very were clean, service very good. On departure day they allowed us to keep the room with no extra charge. They have bar at the beach which you can use in your inclusive, welcoming

The location was very nice, just a few steps away from the sea, where there is a nice beach. There was also a pub at the beach to get drinks and snacks: very relaxing. The Hotel was very well cared for, and very clean

The beach itself is sandy, you have to enter carefully, there are stones. The sea is restless, the baby not to splash plenty

Hiii! This May i went to the Cactus Beach Hotel in Stalis, Greece with two of my best friends

Clean rooms, decent all inclusive drinks, diverse food with section for toddlers and plastic plates. Beach - great! (Need to pay extra for sun beds, but there is space to just drop towels on the right)

There were several buildings with each their own pool, and a central swimming place with slides. Also, there was animation, from yoga and water noodling to bingo and disco

The Spa, actually belonging to the Cactus Royal hotel but also on our terrain, was excellent, I had a massage from Anja, she was great! What really was lovely was that the people from Cactus beach knew so many languages

We enjoyed some things more than others but there was always plenty. Pasta was always on the menu but as I'm not a pasta lover I ate mainly chicken and fish. Sweets could have had a little more variety but hey ho

For example one day we get for breakfast scrambled eggs with french fries inside. We assume it were leftovers from from previous days dinner

There is no water in the hotel available to guests after bar is closed, even in the room, no bottle of water at all. Hotel has very nice tidy beach but getting there is a different story

We got to the hotel at 4 am - we didn't get a room until 10 which is ok, we understand it but we did not get anything to drink until a breakfast at 8. Coffee or tea would be great but even a water would be good

Unfortunately hotel is not thinking about those kind of details. Last thing is wifi, it is free, you will connect from everywhere but connection is so slow that it is basically impossible to display a web page

Pool areas are beautiful with plenty of sunbeds and lots of room. No rush to get beds, and free towels provided. Pool bar also serves drinks and food to your sunbed, so no need to even get up

Even the seating area for breakfast is just lovely looking over the pool and sea. The evening menus of the different restaurants looked delicious

Free bottled water is given everyday in your room, lovely touch and very appreciated. We didn't use the spa as we were out a lot but it looked beautiful. There is also an indoor pool and sauna and well equipped gym

Private beach is breathtaking again with lots of beds and drinks served to your bed. There's also free use of canoes, lilos and paddle boards

We spent hours there playing cards, reading, and chatting, all while enjoying views of the pool and beach. One unexpected highlight was watching planes come in to land nearby

I went to the spa and had a full body massage and facial I loved everything about these treatments, my facial was done by Antonis and it was great my skin felt so hydrated, and my body massage was done by Maria she’s fantastic!! I highly recommend going to the spa

Despite losing a couple of days to very poor weather, we had a wonderful stay. This is a small resort—just two restaurants and two bars—which initially made us a little unsure, as it’s the smallest we’ve ever stayed in

When the weather kept everyone indoors, the hotel handled it brilliantly. The lobby comfortably accommodated guests, and the staff were fantastic—constantly bringing drinks and clearing tables efficiently

However, this actually turned out to be one of its biggest strengths. The atmosphere is relaxed yet intimate, and every member of staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was a real highlight

You can definitely see and hear them, but we found it entertaining—guessing the airlines and checking arrivals. In the evenings, when the weather improved, the outdoor lounge area had a great vibe

Ps we also went down to the spa to look what they had to offer and the guy there saw that I had some sunburns on my arm and gave me some aftersun lotion that helped to calm my skin!

Staff are amazing and do speak English, they make this hotel. We came off season on the understanding that there was a heated pool available

We spent a long weekend with our 4 year old. An altogether great experience: clean and comfortable bungalow by the sea, rich buffet, very clean swimming pool (and a friendly lifeguard), excellent and very polite service

We stayed at Amaronda for a weekend of 4 days in this beautiful 4-star hotel!! The Atmosphere at the hotel is warm and welconing

The “gym” is a few bits of equipment on the beachfront, the “indoor pool” is only accessible if you’ve booked a spa treatment, there’s only one massage therapist so couples massages or going together is out of the question

Overall it was a good experience. Place is clean, the pictures online reflect the property correctly

But we had one major issue which was that the tiles on the steps of the pool are dangerously slippery, the first day we used it my husband slipped and broke a small bone in his wrist

Perfect if you want to enjoy a peaceful vacation. Great service from the staff, well organized beach, no additional charge for sunbeds for hotel guests, easy to park and wonderful old villa in the complex. Recommended!

We saw many other people slip on the pool steps while we were there, though the hotel management seemed quite indifferent to this

Some friends of ours had just gotten married near by, they came to visit for a day and similarly slipped in the pool

Just didn’t feel like they cared we were there, maybe since we were foreigners (but my husband speaks Greek) or that we had kids, not sure, but nobody did a quality check despite walking by us several times and even on check out didn’t ask how the stay was

Such friendly staff. It was the end of the season, so admittedly there were fewer guests, but they remembered my name and room number and made me feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Really recommend.

Loved our stay at the Plaza Resort Hotel! The pool was beautiful, the rooms were spacious and clean and the service was excellent

(we stayed during the last week of August) The rooms are large and comfortable. Not quite 5 star finishes within the room but that’s not what you are paying for. The beach and pool area are ideal

Also a very important fact that the hotel is situated right in front of the sea, so you can visit a beach any time you like because it takes about 30 seconds to reach it

This property is not a 5 star; the AC units in the room did not work well, no tea/coffee pot and supplies are in the rooms; the property needs a paint job outside; unless you only want to sit poolside or on the beach; the property is one hr away from the city and sight seeing therefore you spend a LOT on taxis

Not living up to the price We stayed in one of the sea view suites with private pool. The room was truly amazing, great view, comfortable bed and very good AC. Enjoyed the coffee in the rom and the loudspeaker

The rooms were in need of some TLC and lacked some basic necessities you’d expect from a beachside hotel with pool facilities—such as a clothes dryer on the balcony

The cleaning staff did a great job keeping the room tidy, though the mornings could be quite noisy. Being next to the domestic cupboard meant lots of chatter and walkie-talkies at full volume, which wasn’t very restful

All in all, I wouldn’t return to this particular hotel, but for a last-minute getaway it was reasonably priced, and the fantastic location helped make up for the shortcomings

A kettle was provided, which was appreciated, but there were no cups to use with it. Surprisingly, there was also no “Do Not Disturb” sign for the door

Breathe taking view in this out of the way resort. The rooms are very nice, we had a sea view making it spectacular. There is a main pool or a quiet section on the cliff side

The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable

Hotel pool bar was closed without explanation for a couple of days but on enquiry with reception we were told it was because of the weather so on days when the sun didn't shine we had to sit in the hotel and use the main bar

Sun beds were plentiful and set out on the beach but when the sun moved behind the hotel the whole of the Beach area and chairs around the hotel were in the shade, probably because of the time of year

There are so many positives about Ammon Zeus… the Aegean and sea view is everything, with the lapping of waves 24/7 and crystal-clear waters to swim in. Expect a warm welcome and really lovely staff

No way is this a 5 * we have stayed in less * and this was disappointing, certainly no wow factor. Having said this, when we checked in, we had been upgraded to a sea view room

We stayed for 1 week in October with our 2 teenagers in the penthouse suite. The room was clean, modern and spacious with a beautiful view of the ocean

Our kids absolutely loved the pool – we could hardly get them out of it! The buffet food was always fresh and delicious

A Truly Amazing Stay – Like Paradise! We’ve just returned from an incredible stay at this hotel as a family of four from Scotland, and we’re already missing it! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm, friendly smiles from the staff, who couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming

if i could live in this hotel I would. the beach is stunning, staff is kind and helpful, and the rooms are spacious and clean

We recently stayed at D’Andrea Mare Beach Hotel and overall had a very enjoyable experience. Positives: The rooms were spacious, modern, and very clean — a real plus for families or couples looking for comfort

I expected more fish, but that wasn't the case. The children's area was truly lacking; the swing was about to come apart. For a 4-star hotel, they still need to work hard on cleanliness, friendliness, and food

My first vacation with my family wasn't that great. We arrived after 1:00 AM, checked in, and went up to our room. We entered the room and I immediately went to the bathroom to check everything

The housekeeping was lacking; the cleaning ladies came in to make the bed and mopped it without vacuuming it, so it was still dirty. I expected more variety in the food, but that wasn't the case

Perfect for early morning swims with the locals. Just like the sea, the pool is very clean, deep and refreshing to dive into. It is one of the best exercising pools I have experienced at a family hotel

We went to Alexandroupoli mainly for the sea, but the hotel's pool was actually quite comfortable. We stayed on a full board basis

It would be nice if the menu was refreshed at least once a week with a few new options. After 3-4 nights, having the same dishes for lunch and dinner gets a bit boring

The full board menu was a bit more limited compared to the restaurant's regular offerings. The same meals tended to repeat, so we ended up eating out 1-2 nights

Quality desk and restaurant service. Although a short stay ,staff was Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent.

That said, the food was very tasty and the portions were generous — we couldn’t even finish our plates sometimes

It was short trip of a few day but it’s clean and has a fantastic and included hot buffer breakfast The only spoiler for me was that we requested as late check out and were advise that yes no problem you can have an additional 20 mins lol
