Loved everything about the Akti Palace (room, staff, food, cleanliness), except the sunbeds

Just back from our second holiday this year at Akti Palace. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we loved every minute. The food, the staff, the entertainment all fabulous

We were upgraded to a shared pool room, very nice. Room was spacious, lovely and clean with the mini bar topped up daily and cleaned/fresh towels daily

It was really nice, a bit tired in the bathroom, the towels were totally unacceptable. They were thin, hard and grey when they should have being white. We used the beach towels to bathe with as they were better quality

always grumpy and pouring drinks like it was way too much of an effort. The pool areas were always clean and well maintained. The evening entertainment was on the whole pretty good

Yes the bathrooms need an overhaul, but everything worked! Yes it's not 5 star, but that didn't put us off after our first trip and certainly hasn't put us off after our second

Oriental night was the worst, nothing to offer my infant atall, I think he just had a banana and ice cream ! Desserts were also delicious and varied compared to previous hotels I’ve been to, white chocolate cake, gateaux and the raisin chocolate nut bars were my favourite! Our balcony view - Overlooking the pool and sea with a beautiful sunrise! Always nice to get a decent view

Pool bar great drinks , good animation team. Cons Restaurant food had a good choice , but food was never hot was only ever Luke warm. Most staff were polite there was two reception staff who were extremely rude

Stayed here for 10 nights in bungalow 77 with a shared swimming pool. The hotel is around a 20 minute walk to the main resort of Kardanena where you will find restaurants, bars, shops and beautiful promenade

Good sized, quite private terrace with very small table, chairs, 2 sunbeds and fixed in place parasol. Cleaners came everyday and were very good, all the staff were very friendly throughout the hotel

The hotel is extremely clean everywhere and has a large amphitheatre for entertainment, small shop, spa, outside snack bar and pool bar

The food choice and quality was the best I have ever had on any holiday, everything you could think of was on offer including Qyail, rabbit, octopus, several different fish and meats every evening

I had the best time staying at this hotel for the last week! They were very accomadating and made sure we had the best time! There was a good selection of food to choose from so you will find something that you will like! The rooms and the cleanliness was very well done!

Perfect for families with children. The staff is outstanding and very responsive to answer any questions you might have. They are quick in responding to your emails. It's a little bit of a walk to the beach

Food was good and the Greek night was great entertainment with excellent traditional food. All inclusive drinks are only local but we knew this on booking. Great pools and beautiful settings

Every complex has their own little pool in addition to the super size pool in the middle of the complex

The resort is so big you have to get a buggy almost everywhere. The buggies are nearly never available. The pool was lovely and the spar was great. However the water for the spar was freezing

Third visit back to the Gaia Palace. Staff were absolutely amazing and very friendly throughout our visit. We stayed in a superior double room which was excellent

After a week at Smy Kos Beach & Splash, we are back home and I’d like to share my impressions. Cleanliness & Room The room cleanliness was good overall, although the towels were dirty and didn’t smell fresh

Big Thank you to our Cleaning Personnel for Room G4203 in the first October week 25. We never experienced such a warm welcome and accommodating. The room was always very clean and we hope our tip reached the right lady

The hotel setting was pretty, they take excellent care of the grounds, the plants and trees are beautiful

Plastic straws, single-use plastic cups – and I don’t mean reusable ones, I mean the kind you use once and throw away. Plastic cups were seen everywhere – on the floor by the pool, even in the pool

7 night stay at end of Sept 2025, block B Junior Suite. Overall we had a perfectly pleasant stay, the hotel has some really good points and some areas for improvement

Cleanliness levels were not up to a good standard, the bathroom in particular needed a very good clean and our kettle had not been checked (people before us had left coffee grounds in the kettle and it wasn't rinsed)

The pool area is average we didn’t have an issue with getting a sunbed but we are travelling late in the season. I would expect during the peak season it is hell on earth

I personally loved most aspects of this hotel. Peaceful and not overcrowded. Lack of entertainment didn’t bother me one bit as I came for a break away from all of that

I guess this may not suit you if you’re looking for a party holiday. Staff respectful , polite and friendly whilst not overbearing - prefect for me Hotel is modern and spotlessly clean

Bus right outside the cosmopolitan hotel and takes 10 min max and 1. 50 euro each way to Kos Harbour. Ask for bus timetable at reception. Otherwise a pleasant 20 minute walk for us

- One of the reasons why we chose the hotel was because of the baby pool, playground, and the description that they would be family friendly of the agency. The photos didn't correspond to reality

Don’t think if stated in cleaner hotel. Food - hit and miss with options but had some delicious meals on the Mexican and oriental night

Right before you enter the main restaurant you will meet Vasiliki that will welcome you with a smile and in the restaurant ANGELA always friendly, welcoming and with a status that suits to this hotel she is the plus that place needs

Staff very kind and helpful, wanting you to have a fabulous holiday. I fell on the cobblestone drive and Christina, Guest Relation Manager, was very supportive and enquired multiple times as to my wellbeing

Food choice was very diverse and all presented attractively. The hire car was easy, door to door service

This is the second time at this hotel and we had a wonderful time. All of the staff were amazing in particular the guest relations department. Reception staff, in particular Denisa she was most helpful

Another special shout out to the pool bar ladies Christina & Mersina. Always happy, smiling and making all guests laugh and feed off their energy

They've been amazing and made a drink slightly off the menu "Iced Irish Coffee", To help with dealing with the warm weather, as it's close to 30 degrees

You can really relax in this hotel, with a choice of pools, sun lounger locations, a poolside bar, spa and gym

Our cases were taken from us and we were driven in a little buggy to what we thought was our room, only to discover that we had been upgraded due to availability on the exact dates we were staying

The apartment was simply amazing, furnished with the very best and sparkling clean, and came with a private pool overlooking the beach

Every small touch showed genuine care for guests, making the stay feel personal and truly special. The atmosphere was calm, elegant, and relaxing, exactly what you hope for when traveling

My husband and I visited Kos for the first time last year in September to attend a relatives wedding. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had booked something special

I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for quality, comfort, and a memorable stay. I will absolutely return and recommend it without hesitation

We were just on bed and breakfast and the breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. There were plenty of sunbeds available, the ones on the beach having mattresses. The gardens were beautiful and so well kept

Nice pool areas one less crowed and smaller than the other

We were transferred to this Hotel as our original accommodation was unable to host us. We were actually really pleased. It's a nice hotel with loads of facilities. The staff on reception were very welcoming

The location was good, the hotel grounds and gardens are beautiful very impressive. Our room was large and spotlessly clean, plenty of sunbeds available

Everything is great about this hotel, enough space, and you have many choices for going dinner even if you aren't all-inclusive. There are 4 pools and one beautiful beach, one playground which is kidfriendly

Room was a good size, comfy bed and all SC facilities if required, fridge, microwave etc. Only slight negative was bathroom which was fine, but bit dated, however considering cost of holiday this was not a problem

Personally we enjoyed the breakfast and variety. Pool area was immaculate and very well maintained. Would definitely recommend staying here and will hopefully return in the future

Or the bar and then another to reception shame really as it would be a really lovely hotel if on one complex Pool umbrellas and beds need changing desperately

Kos wasn’t up at the top of our list Hotel is somewhat disjointed as there are 5 different buildings and you have to cross roads to go to the pool

Breakfast was very good and something for everyone, if you want traditional English breakfast, with English std food like Richmond sausages, hash browns etc go somewhere else or go Self Catering

There were some activities each day and the entertainment staff would come around the pool to let you know that they're happening, which was cool

The place and the staff are excellent. Really enjoyed our family time. It's a shame that the place is being renewed and transformed into an adults-only hotel.

Wifi was non existent in our room, we only were able to log onto it at the bar, by the pool or otherwise in the main building. So bear in mind that you may need to buy data to be able to use the internet in your room

Agree with other reviews on star rating. So saying, the tired rooms, they were cleaned very well. Clean bedding every other day and towels. But the staff make this hotel

One criticism, the last day , the beach bar and pool bar was closed

To say we were disappointed is an under statement! 5 star it is not! There were a lot of weeds by the pool, toilets out of order and leaking everywhere

Amazing choice of food too something for everyone as well. Will definitely be going back

The hotel itself is ok, room was ok for us overlooking the pool. Front of desk- 1 lady in particular wasn’t very nice and rude when we complained about the food. Hotel needs new younger management and chef

For example, even with the "do not disturb" sign on the door, they still come into your room. Otherwise, the hotel is well located and calm, close to the beach and with lots of shops and restaurants nearby

However, we were disappointed by the buffet, which is really poor quality with the same dishes every day, which is a bit disappointing considering we're paying quite a lot for the all-inclusive package

If you want to loose weight go to this hotel. The food is not good, repetitive, poor quality not sure what nationality the food is catered for maybe 4 legged type

I think it’s made for the german/english tourists who don’t eat real good food. Also, the cleaning ladies are very noisy and intrusive

We went self catering, but eat out most of the time. I would comment that the kitchen utensils & cups etc were spotless. The pool was a traditional rectangular shape & although quite big, it did tend to get over crowded

weird? cheese and ham, not much choice really. The best option was yogurt + cereals + honey. I guess breakfasts served in the pool bar are way better, just cost additional money

Our apt had a kitchen with two single beds & a bedroom with double bed. The rooms were made up every day & were clean, comfortable & spacious. A special thanks to our cleaner Anna & her ever smiling, friendly colleagues

The hotel is made up of several blocks. We stayed in a first floor one bed apartment in one of the new blocks. Check in was easy & throughout our stay the reception staff were very helpful, including arranging car hire

You can do a day trip to Bodrum, Turkey which is very close, but we didn't bother. Our favourite beaches were Lambi (north side of Kos town), Tingaki (North coast & miles of sandy beach) & Kardamena on the South coast

Once you know your way around, there is a large free car park near to town, to save your legs & avoid the cyclists LOL. Kos town & harbour were buzzing & suitable for all ages. A lot of history, shops & restaurants

What a beautiful place! I can recommend it to everyone! The design, the food, the services and the amazingly friendly and kind staff… thank you for making our vacation unforgettable! We will definitely come back!

We had a five night stay which we thoroughly enjoyed. The service from reception was excellent. We found that the bar staff were slow and on occasions it was unmanned

We received a complimentary room upgrade without asking for it and we were really grateful. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both meals were delicious and the service was quite good

We were, however, quite taken aback when at checkout we were asked for a tip for the reception staff. We travel internationally quite often and have never been put in this situation

Open space hotel with very little privacy if you stay at the pool view room ( mostly are). There are no bath tab in the room. Trip has wrongly advertised

Very friendly and professional staff. We were quite spoiled. Beautiful view of the ocean and of Turkey across the sea. Fantastic breakfast buffet!

By puting smaller fridge in that spot, we seen how old the room is. Balcony has no were to dry your towels. The only option is a balcony railing. Main pool is nice and looked after

Showers beside the pool very old too, water running badly as the limescale is all around the shower head. When we decided to go to Kos town, there is a mini bus driving up and down the hill every couple minits

Handyman switched off the fridge, used a lot of towels around and left. After 2 days ( that much ice was in it) found out the fridge is not working so we got tiny mini bar fridge instead

But we used the one at the back with slides beside. All around the area with pools are glass fences, main pool lovely and clean, the back pool not cleaned for very long

The rooms are a little outdated with loads of bugs, nice large balcony though and the cleaner attends daily. We enjoyed the pools and water slides

Not a 4 star hotel but 3 star offering all inclusive. We went to this Hotel because of the selection of slides for children. Hotel rooms are deffintely not 4 star. Very old, not mentioning bathrooms

A nice surprise at Kos island! Extra large rooms, nice decoration, big bathrooms and lovely terrace! A bit crowded around the pool but still a lovely hotel. Ps: Very polite employees!!!

There are also plenty of bars and restaurants closer by. The nearest beach is just a 5–10 minute walk, though we preferred the city beaches a bit further away, which offered free sunbeds

Pool is nice but the stretcher toppers were all soaking wet and smelly old. Overall ok, but wouldn’t stay again. But maybe I’m also not the target group 😜

Also residents around the pool would use extra sun lounges put their bags on and prevent others sitting close. nothing would be said to these people

Great hotel, great service and delicious breakfast!

We stayed for five nights in mid-September. The hotel is slightly outside the town centre, but it’s an easy 20-minute walk or a 5-minute bike ride along a dedicated track

We traveled all over the world and this is the best four star hotel ever. Fantastic location with unbelievable ocean view, great clean room and wonderful service. The restaurant is so good and inexpensive too

The room was clean with everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of options and quality ingredients. The location was central and close to all attractions. The service was exceptional.

Literally on the crystal clear sea side of the bay for peaceful and beautiful moments either for vacation or business visit. Exquisite cousine and excellent local wines to taste

This was a last minute booking for myself and my mother who is in her 80s. Check-in was straightforward and our room slightly dated but clean. All sea facing rooms overlook the reception roof but that's not a problem

Plenty of sunbed availability & as we were relaxing by the pool every day, the entertainment team provided exactly that for us

Pool closes at 6pm (slight shame as a quieter swim in early eve would be lovely) Sunsets are amazing, definitely visit Sky Bar at sister hotel for panoramic views - wow!! Explore the island

Heard some complaints about food not always being piping hot but I think that this is quite normal for a Greek buffet - and it didn't bother us (in a hot climate) as there was always plenty of choice

As a pescatarian, I always found something, though if you’re fully vegetarian, the options might be a bit more limited. There’s also a Gyros snack bar open from lunchtime until dinner serving gyros, toasties, and chips

Huge shoutout to the entertainment team, Charmaine, Jaylin, and Kat, who kept everyone entertained from 10am to 10pm! The buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner had lots of great options

Lovely resort and staff , ABIT far from towns. a little disappointed at the fact everyday it's the same dances /entertainment by the pool

I stayed here with TUI and had an amazing time! We arrived at 1am and were pleasantly surprised to be given packed lunches so we had something to eat after our journey

The food was fantastic at every sitting, there was something for everyone. We particularly enjoyed the themed nights, the Mexican night was superb. My kids loved the poolside bar snacks and salad bar

Our room was clean, modern, and exactly as shown in the photos online. There are plenty of activities during the day and night, with a weekly schedule so you can easily join in

Regarding drinks, there’s a good variety of beers, spirits, and cocktails, so no worries there. They have a really cool lounge and seating area by the beach with outdoor sofas and beds

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a big smile and great kindness by Saad, whose sense of hospitality immediately put us at ease

The only improvement I’d suggest is perhaps adding more storage and/or hooks in the bathrooms for towels and toiletries. The food is very tasty with plenty of options. We both felt that lunch was the best meal of the day

The beach is a bit rocky in places, but we found a sandy area that was easier to swim in. Most days, we stayed by the pool where there’s a beach bar, music, and aqua aerobics at 12:15 each day

The entire staff, right down to the housekeepers, is incredibly friendly and always ready to help. The hotel is spotlessly clean you feel comfortable and safe

The food is excellent, varied, and carefully prepared a real treat at every meal! And what about the view ,a splendid view overlooking the sea, soothing and magical, especially at sunset I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking comfort, friendliness, and relaxation

The highlight of our stay was definitely the evening bar staff!!! Michael and Georgia deserve a special mention, always friendly, engaging, and full of energy, they made our nights truly enjoyable and added a personal touch that made us feel at home

The hotel's central location is a major advantage. It's a new and comfortable hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. My family and I also gave it top marks for cleanliness

The housekeeping team are excellent ! Happy hour in the evening at the Pool side bar is easily affordable and a lovely end to any evening

The people are amazing, so kind and as we dutchies say gezellig! Everyone was kind and helpful but our favorite was Michael he has the power to brighten any day! Rooms are clean and have everything you need

Excellent hotel which exceeded expectations. Superb location close to old town; but above all the general vibe, cleanliness, extremely friendly staff and very good amenities made for an excellent stay
