Kinsterna is stunning — the kind of property that immediately feels special. The architecture, grounds, and atmosphere are all gorgeous, and our room was stylish (though a bit dark). What kept this from being a perfect stay was the service. I was celebrating a milestone birthday and had mentioned it ahead of time, but there was no acknowledgment at all. At this price point (over $1k/night), even a...
We last visited 7 years ago and the place did not disappoint. We wanted to look at a potential wedding venue as it holds a special place in our hearts and the staff couldn’t do enough to accommodate us! They are truly amazing and we adore each and every one of the people who work here! Always smiling, super attentive and nothing is too much bother. They go above and beyond and made our stay unforgettable...
Charming boutique hotel; cozy, stylish, and well kept. The staff are genuinely courteous and attentive, offering helpful tips and warm service throughout. Food is excellent (breakfast is a standout), making the on-site dining worth staying in for. Convenient location too: about 15 minutes from the center of Monemvasia, so you’re close to the action but in a quieter spot. Overall, great value for a...
Absolutely amazing! This 5-star hotel in Monemvasia, recently awarded 2 Michelin Keys, exceeded every expectation. The atmosphere is calm, serene, and luxurious, making it the perfect destination for a quiet getaway or a relaxing family vacation. The hotel has 50 beautifully designed rooms, two stunning pools, and a Michelin-starred restaurant where we enjoyed a fantastic dinner. Breakfast by the...
My husband and I stayed two nights at Kinsterna as part of a wedding that had booked out the venue. We wished we had more time to stay and would love to return! Stepping onto the property felt like discovering Eden with flowers and fruits growing everywhere. We made time to walk around one morning and found there were so much to explore, from benches and swings nestled in the olive and pomegranate...
This hotel could have been five star but for a couple of disappointments. Firstly there is no information whatever in the room on basic facilities like where and when is breakfast served. Much information is displayed on the room television but the grey print on a coloured background is unreadable. We learned later on in our stay that scanning a code thing on a piece of stone near the reception reveals...

What a FANTASTIC Hotel. From the moment we made online reservations to the day we said goodbye, the staff, service, hotel, location was the best I have ever experienced. Everyone was ready to help make our experience the most perfect it could be. They succeeded. The room decor is modern. The beds were soooo comfortable. The pillows..were...soooooo nice! The bathroom spacious. The pool was just fantastic...
Excellent breakfast options. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. The room was clean and well layed out. Parking was on-site and secure. Would I recommend this hotel... absolutely!
Excellent option when visiting Monemvasia. The hotel is new and modern with wonderful amenities. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our holiday was a memorable one. The breakfast is another reason to choose the Alkinoi, with fresh squeezed orange juice and a wonderful assortment of Greek breakfast fare.
Fabulous stay at this hotel in August 2025 with the family for 7 nights. Ioannis, Sia and Angelika couldn't have been more helpful during our stay and the view of Monemvasia is breathtaking! A brilliant hotel to explore the region and beaches and just a 5-min cab to the old town. Highly recommended.
We loved our stay at Alkinoi Resort & Spa in August for 7 nights. Ioannia, Sia, Angelika and the team all made us feel incredibly welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them with brilliant local recommendations. The beautiful view of Monemvasia every morning will stay in our memories forever. Thank you!
This place was paradise. Beyond what i thought it was gonna be. I would wake up to a beautiful view and staff was phenomenal. Knowing me by my 1st name. Food was excellent, drinks were the best i had. Definitely coming back

We went to Monemvasia for the New Year as a group celebrating a birthday. It was truly magical, the staff were all friendly and super helpful, the location is stunning and the atmosphere is like something out of a fairy tale. Our room was perfect for our requirements and we thought it was very good value.
Accommodations inside the castle. Very close to the entrance. Reasonably priced. Full and excellent breakfast was included.
Staying on the Rock was a must-do experience. Our room was small but perfectly charming with stone walls, shutters, a small balcony, and an amazing sea-front view. Breakfast consisted of a large buffet with tasty choices. Be aware that you will be pulling your luggage down cobblestone streets, and that you will be hiking to and from your car that you've left parked along the causeway (there is no access...
This is my favourite hotel in the whole world. The rooms are spacious, beautifully and charmingly decorated and furnished, with great attention to detail. Everything is very clean, and everything works. The breakfast is amazing, and all the staff are lovely.
Stayed for 3 nights. The only downside to staying in Monemvasia is that you can not park immediately next to the hotels. A free car park is available approximately 1k away & a bus service runs to the gates every half an hour on the hour, costing €1.50. On arrival I phoned reception, who arranged for a porter to transport our luggage to our room costings €5. The streets are cobbled, well worn & can...

THe room was large and very comfortable with a seperate sitting area.
We absolutely loved our time there. Our hostess was very friendly and helpful, and the service was great from the moment we arrived. The location was perfect, the room was spotless and cozy, and we especially loved the sea view from the balcony.
We'll definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
The moment we walked into our beautiful room on the ground floor, we felt at home! The hostess is very kind and took the time to make sure we understood how to manage the lights and hot water switches. The location is excellent - right on the edge of a small green space next to the fortress wall, overlooking the sea. We only wish we could have spent more time in there to enjoy our room!
Very unique experience. The hotel and town and castle were very enjoyable.
What a lovely experience our stay here was. We received a warm welcome, and the rooms were so inviting and comfortable. Plus, the historical setting couldn't be beat! We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in lovely Monemvasia.
A unique experience in a traditional guesthouse. Good host. There are lots of stairs around the property which adds to the charm in a very unique location. A level of fitness is required and don't take too much luggage!

This place is beautiful but hard to get to one way in. Bringing a suitcase will be tough. Worth it from the peaceful and breathtaking views. Olive oil here is amazing.
Amazing venue in an Olive Garden. Rooms are spacious sparkling clean providing an environment of peace and tranquility. Staff experienced and polite. Breakfast is a real culinary experience. Not to be missed for a truly unique experience.
This is one of the best hotels I have *ever* stayed at. Beautiful rooms at a historic hotel in the middle of an olive orchard, a 15 minute drive from Monemvasia. The manager came out to meet us when we parked, knew who we were and brought us to the room prior to my coming to check in. The included breakfast the next morning was fantastic, huge variety of freshly prepared foods. Incredible experience...
Great stay at Liotrivi, we were there early in the season and it was peaceful and quiet Rooms are spacious and clean, the estate is kept superbly and we could enjoy breakfast under the olive trees The staff was very friendly, they speak Greek and English and have been very helpful throughout Special mention to Marthelene, as she walked us through the history of the estate, the oil tasting and gave...
Amazing place, 100% real homemade food from scratch. Family of 4 stayed for couple of nights as we’ve organised the Christening for our little one.Our event was organised outside in Olive tree garden!
Kids loved it. Food was stunning from the breakfast to lunch and our event. Good selection of wines. Staff was really helpful and kind all times.Absolutely recommend.
Excellent experience about olive oil, its production in a fantastic environment. I enjoyed the explanations and the tasting of the different oils and spreads. They do honor a fantastic tradition of Greek healthy way of living shared with the world

Our 2 night stay was marvelous. We highly recommend! Would definitely stay again. Staff is friendly and efficient. Name is appropriate…wonderful view of Monemvasia!
We had a nice stay at Hotel Panorama. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. Be aware that there is no elevator, but you can drive around to the back of the hotel to bring your bags in which makes it much easier. We would stay here again if we are back in the area.
We had a spacious and comfortable room with a large balcony and beautiful view.
Great hotel, lots of room in suite, beautiful terrace with chairs/table overlooking the sea and Monamvasia; plenty of parking on site. Only complaint no Nespresso in room and coffee downstairs sub par. Very nice staff!
Great stay with a great view of Monemvasia. Very clean, comfortable beds. Highly recommend.
Beautiful view of monemvasia, nice breakfast, friendly staff and easy parking (a real parking lot). We found the bed to be quite hard. Also, the water in the rooms had a bit of a sulfur smell.

Property in general was ok but not renovated fully. Cleanliness was not sufficient. The room was not dirty but not clean either. They have a convenient parking next to the property and a beach is located only in a few steps
A hotel worth much more than two stars I would rate it at least three if not four stars
The staff is lovely, Shontei, Hargiro, Nina, (I hope I wrote the names correctly) take care of you as a guest so that you will simply have a good time. The rooms are very clean and spacious, the hotel staff is quick to fix any problem. The view from the quiet private balcony is stunning in its beauty, the proximity...
We appreciated a very good breakfast! In general, it was a good stay, as expected.
Great place ! The team in charge of the hotel is fantastic, very efficient and friendly at the same time. Access to Ambelakya beach is very easy, and the view of the Monemvasia castro is beautiful. Also great breakfast, enjoyed by all, children and adults as well
One of my favourite and definitely the best-valued hotel in my month-long trip through Peloponnese.
The owner (and rest of staff) is extremely kind and flexible. The room was spotless, new-feeling, matching interior design, with a little balcony, 'mosquito net sliding door' that also repels sunlight, and a very efficient (and quiet!) AC. Filtered water refilled daily (if asked), so loving the more...

Such lovely views and a quiet sanctuary. Would love to return!
Welcome to a superb end of the world, isolated and yet... The room is very simple but with an extraordinary view of the sea and Monemvasia (10 min by car). The welcome... The pistachio and honey waffles...
Very nice hotel with beautiful view towards Monemvassia, personell helped with every problem, breakfast was served at the pool according to our wishes. Perfect, thank you.
+ price for rooms, car parking , location close to the sea, panoramic seaview, pool, clean rooms, helpful stuff, bar, close to Monemvasia and citycenter.
- waterpool needs to be clean more better .
A small but nice hotel, especially since it has a Saltwater pool and the Sea is possibly 50 meters away. They handle the covid19 problem with success, especially for breakfast. The only problem is if you are planning to stay for two or three weeks, the room is very small, and if you like to buy a watermelon 🍉 it's a problem because the fridge is a bit bigger than a mini...

What an amazing place! Wonderful view, great air conditioning, clean, and wonderful people! We will definitely be back!!!
A special little gem. This family run property sits on a small bay across from Monavasia. You can easily walk over from the hotel. The room has everything you need. This isn’t a luxury spot, but well appointed. The newly renovated bathroom had shower gel, hand soap, and shampoo. There are bath and hand towels available. There is a blowdryer in the room, along with a frig. There’s a wardrobe from hanging...
Negatives: outdated decor, a sewer smell, and a bed that wasn’t particularly comfortable. Positives: fantastic view, and the host was kind and guided us on how to reach Neapoli for Kythera, as the route shown on Google Maps was misleading.
Lovely owner and clean rooms with comfy beds. The views and balconies are lovely also. Unfortunately, the bathroom is a little too basic for me and smelled a bit of sewers at times, I appreciate this won’t be the properties fault. It was very clean and shower pressure was great. The main problem for me was the noise from the door and windows. Every time someone else opened a door ours shook and rattled...

Good location and short drive to the beach and landmark castle. New remodeling room and modern amenities. Nice shower. Good service. Highly recommend.
This small hotel is conveniently located just a stone's throw from the Monemvasia peninsula. The rooms are admittedly a little outdated and could benefit from a refresh. However, we loved the peaceful surroundings and the small terrace where we enjoyed breakfast.
The rooms had some structural flaws and were not as clean as I expected. Friendly and accommodating staff, large balcony. The surroundings are not the best but passable. Free parking under the building.

Beautiful views, lovely property offering everything you would need. Only problem was total lack of signs on property. Sign just says Villa Plus on a very very small sign on a public lamp post. Eventually after a couple if hours git hold of local rep who we met up nearby and he showed the way. Really must get a villa name plate on the actual gate at the main entry!
Clean room right next to the water and convenient location.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The area is gorgeous!! One can walk everywhere. I loved the view of the Rock from the balcony. The beds were not very comfortable. I had great difficulty finding it at night as the sign is difficult to see in the dark.
Simple, clean guesthouse at 60 euros per night. It's OK for the price. No luxury. Simple rooms with a very small bathroom, more like a shower room (old-fashioned and little room to turn around), fridge, balcony, table and chair on the balcony and outside the building. The establishment faces the sea, the bedding and air conditioning are OK. The wifi works very well. All this just a stone's throw from...

Pros: Great pool, spacious modern rooms with several balconies, beautiful location. Cons: not cheap, a 5 minute drive to Monemvasia for dinner. The place was luxurious with not that many guests. We used it as a base to visit Monemvasia and Elafonisos. Fabulous seaside scenery.
I had to cancel my stay at short notice due to a health complication. Sempre Viva Suites refunded me in full even though I was outside the cancellation window and they didn’t need to. I appreciated it so much and think it is a wonderful reflection on them. We will visit next year and this hotel will be first on my list!

Very nice spacious room. Very well designed. The housekeeping was great, attention to every single detail. The bed sheets were changed every 2nd day without request! The suites are nicely located if you have a car as they are a 3 minutes drive from Monemvasia but also offer a pool. The suite we had was spacious for a family with 2 kids. Staff was very nice. I just wish the pool could open later than 6pm especially as sunscreen is not allowed
The scenery here is very good. It seems that the temperature is higher, but the cool breeze is very comfortable. It is really good to have a vacation. The hotel has a seawater swimming pool. The sea is just opposite the door. Even if you don't go to the sea, it is beautiful to listen to the sound of the waves at night.

The experience of staying within walls is something else. Monemvasia has managed to capture and maintain the feel of an ancient fortification while giving one the comforts of modern civilization (indoor plumbing!)

We spent a weekend in the Moni Emvasis suite, which was luxurious, romantic, and comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent, the service was friendly, and the hotel is conveniently close to the front entrance. Monemvasia is one of the most enchanting places in the world, second only to Santorini in Greece. Monemvasia is an absolute gem, and this is the nicest place to stay in the castle.

We recently stayed at the Byzantino Boutique Hotel while visiting Monemvasia, and I have to say, it was a wonderful experience! During our stay, we enjoyed the rich breakfast which included local products – a perfect way to start the day. The location...
Amazing place to stay. Park outside Monemvasia for free. We just took an overnight bag and left the suitcase in the car. Reception very close to the old town entrance, go there to check in and then you are taken to your room, ours was a short walk through the town, the streets are narrow and steps quite steep, but when we got to our room it was an amazing view looking over the town. A comfortable bed...
Super friendly and helpful people at reception. We had a room close to the main street with a great view from the terrace over the buildings below to the sea and also to the upper town. Be prepared for parking a car on the road to the town walls and then walking in maybe 100 feet to their office. The rooms are in many small building, not at the office. The nice breakfast was at another (convenient...
Well, this was a bit special; actually staying within the ancient walls of Monemvasia. The room was not very well lit and really quirky, as you might expect from such an ancient place. However, it had everything we needed and the entire town oozed character. The guy who helped us with our bags was a superhuman, who put one suitcase on a shoulder and carried the other with his hand! A special mention...
The room was ideally located across from the town square and not too far from the main gate. We had ample room for the two of us. The breakfast, included, was sumptuous and there were ample choices. The standout for us was the hotel staff. Hercules (yes, his real name) transported both of our 30-plus pound bags on each of his shoulders to our room and then back to the main gate after our stay....
The room was beautifully furnished and very clean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was plentiful and included local delicacies. The only drawback was that the bathroom was small and it got quite wet when using the shower.

Great hotel! Very good breakfast. The restaurant has good food and great view!
The place was empty and it was past lunchtime and yet they accommodated us with open arms. Food was delicious, terrace has gorgeous view overlooking the sea, and the staff was kind, helpful and courteous. What's not to like? I would definitely recommend not only the restaurant but the hotel too, which has a swimming pool.
The location gets 5 stars. Right by the sea with a lovely deck so you can go swimming. The disappointment was breakfast. Of course there was the difficulty of Covid with no self-serve buffet allowed, but what we were served was poor (some slices of white bread along with little packets of jam, butter, honey), white toast with ham and cheese, a thin omelette and a pancake with chocolate spread, yogurt...

Beautiful view from hotel and great location
Property in a great location. Friendly and helpful staff.
Wish I had stayed another night at least, nice room and balcony, decent bathroom. Modernised quite well - decent value for money. Great location and view. Additional cost breakfast not bad.
One of the bins has not been emptied. Strange that the restaurant below called the same is not connected and a separate business, internal door blocked off.
View of Grecian history
Wonderful location with views of the castle and water. Sad point is that the running water was salty thus not potable and undrinkable.
Fantastic value. We paid a few pounds more for a "superior" room and were given room 17. Two balconies, with wraparound views. Certainly not a £50 view!! Can't rate highly enough. Right on the causeway so very convenient. Spent a very happy afternoon just sat on the balcony taking in the view.
Small room but great location if you’re just staying for one night to see the island. Room gets a little noisy in the evening as there is a pub downstairs. Other than that it’s a value for money place to stay.

Delightful room overlooking the ocean. The breakfast was excellent! Be prepared for cobblestones and stairs in the village but it was wonderful fun exploring the town
We had a great stay and I would highly recommend it
Just one thing to note it’s a long walk from where you drop your luggage off so if you’re only going for a few days take a little amount so you don’t have to carry too much
Great place to stay to discover the Castro, comfortable, clean- good well rounded breakfast selection!
Great Views and Breakfast
Great place to stay in Monemvasia!! Patio had awesome views and the breakfast delivered much more than advertised!
Fantastic location and the view of the ocean from our room. Breakfast was super good, the best one during our trip in Greece. The property is not new and there was some smell of old wood in the room.
