We have stayed at 5 other Neilsons. This time, we stayed as a multi-generational group over October Half term. We enjoyed cycling, Aqua and Tag teens activities and can not fault the enthusiasm of Lara the teen nanny and the cycling guys. The rooms are clean and functional, although being located at the back of reception, we were subjected to early morning techno and evening pumping house from the workout area. Worth requesting to be away from this if this is not your idea of a holiday. Food is plentiful, and varied, the buffet style eating means food does not stay hot, and eating later in the sitting meant a quieter dining room, but even colder food. The excursion to Rhodes Old Town is well worth doing. A short coach ride away, this beautiful medieval city was fascinating to explore and offers some great eating out options. We also visited the local towns of Kolympia (touristy but fun) and Afantou(more locals) both worth exploring.

We stayed at the hotel at the end of September and begginig of October and had a brilliant ecperience. The staff was very kind and helpful, food was great and there was quiet a variety at the bufet each day. We would definitely come back.

We consider our stay at the hotel to be very successful. Friendly service at the bar and in the restaurant, very good food, the room was cleaned every day, everything was at a very good level, we are very satisfied.

Kids clubs - excellent as usual Food - excellent and large selection Accommodations - met expectations Activity selection - excellent as usual The shared booking system for Padel is awful and in particular is not the same as other neilson resorts. Whereas you would usually expect to be able to book on a course or play a set of socials this is not possible. You must wake up early every day and be the queue at 7:20 in the morning for booking that opens at 8 am in order to guarantee the slot do you want. Further there is only one Padel instructor so if they are off then there are no classes. This certainly did not meet my expectations (this is our 4th Neilson) and I would not recommend coming here if a primary driver of resort selection is for Padel.

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, Afandou beach is dirty. The hotel is pretty poor, the rooms are clean, small. The beds are the most uncomfortable beds we have slept on, we are all more knackered now than when we arrived because we couldn’t sleep. The food is awful! All of it is just disgusting, my daughter hasn’t eaten anything other than chips, pasta and jelly. It’s cold, the bread is stale and it tastes terrible. The same thing everyday. You have to wait outside in the heat to be seated, it’s a joke! The guy who keyed people in and out is also very rude., he doesn’t seem to like English people! The hotel inside is quite clean but outside around the pool is full of cigarette ends and rubbish. I’ve never been on holiday where I can’t wait to get home ! How anyone can give this place 5 stars is not being honest! The barman on the evening and lifeguard are lovely!!! That’s about the only positive!

So I recently stayed at afandou bay village, the place was really nice and was also clean but they is a few gripes. The main one being the food is bad, always stone cold unless you go as soon as the restaurant opens and even then the food is horrible. We spent most nights having to eat out. They is only 1 restaurant so there's a chance you will also have to que to get in. The all inclusive drinks menu is also very small especially during the day there's about 5 drinks on it and 2 of them are alcohol, they're also served in small cups. I also found the beds to be extremely uncomfortable the springs sometimes dig into you. I've given it 3 stars cause I think that really it's a 3 star hotel and not a 4 star.

Excellent Neilson beach club. We have previously had a summer holiday at the beach club in Croatia, which was very good, but the whole family agreed Levante is better. Our week featured unusually light winds so the sailing was limited and sedentary, but that the cycling, paddle boarding, open water swimming and kayaking were all very good. Only gripe relates to the padel courts - a resort this size needs more than two courts, and the really loud music from the outdoor gym right next to the courts made it impossible to hear each other. Everything else was excellent. In particular the team in the bike shed made the group rides full of interest, fun and challenge in just the right ratios. Others have commented that the sharing of this site with Apollo leads to a different vibe but I really wouldn’t say that’s a bad thing at all. The group rides I went on generally had a 50/50 mix between brits and Scandinavians, and were better for it. The whole resort had a slightly more diverse feel to it than, for example, the Alana club in Croatia, and was better for it. Location-wise, this resort is a winner. Far enough away from the likes of Faliraki but the likes of Lindos and Rhodes town are easily reached by bus or taxi. We took an afternoon to explore the old town centre of Rhodes and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would 100% recommend, and will likely be back.

Hotel has been refurbished last year, the staff were fantastic, very friendly and very helpful. There's 2 x pools one of which is adult only ( that's a great idea as it's quieter) Food was good quality and there's definitely something for everyone to eat. There is only one bar open at a time but tbh that doesn't matter, you use the outside bar during the day and the inside bar in the evening. You may have to queue at times for a drink but that's no real hardship. Overall, if you want a decent stay at a reasonable price then go for it, me and my son thoroughly enjoyed our week away.
