Hippocampus Hotel in Kamari

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at... Such a warm, family feel which is true, honest and humble... It's not "5 star" in your traditional sense but it's immaculate in service and well up there. The family that run it make this 6 star in my opinion... Such lovely people and even the cleaners would meet you with a smile and a "good morning" - it felt perfect. The pools and recent work ARE 5 star... Honestly could not give it higher praise.

There is a little takeaway opposite with lovely gyros for a quick lunch and a very nice restaurant on the corner too.

As others have said - the receptionist could not do more for you.

2-3 min walk to the beach and restaurants, supermarkets and an array of bars, airport pickups and an ample and well stocked buffet breakfast.

We didn’t stay at this hotel but visited late this evening because we were desperately searching for a taxi to take us back to our Airbnb and couldn’t find anything. The receptionist was so kind and called someone to pick us up who was there within 15 minutes. She didn’t need to do this as we weren’t her guests, but clearly took pity on the exhausted looking pregnant lady 😅 the hotel looks beautiful from the outside and was so friendly. Thank you so much!

We stayed at hippocampus from 9th to 16th if July. The rooms and the whole structure are delicious. Position is perfect work, in the best part of Kamari. We felt like home with our hosts being so kind all the time.

We stayed in room 104 for a week where we had an amazing time. It was calm and quiet with a perfect view on the back pool. All receptionist ladies were ever so kind and helpful. Also the lovely man behind the bar makes very delicious cocktails, dont miss it! (Hippo- jippo was our favorite one). I would highly recommend this hotel for families and couples to have a memorable vacation! It is also superclose to the beach and bus station to Fira, Oia. Xxx Bea and Jozy from Budapest

Everything was beautiful!!! The hotel is in a perfect position, close to the restaurant and the beach. So nice!!

This is great hotel very close to all services and attractions but still well maintained, nice and relaxing. Staff is great. Goos swimming pool area. Perfect camp base to visit the island. We loved staying here.

We found this place one of the most friendly staffs, clean, and the best services. Recommend to any one who visit Kamari in Santorini, we had the best 8 days staying at this charming place.

2. 2 minutes from the beach
3. Staff is super nice
4. We got upgraded to junior suite
5. The room is big
6. Pool has shade most of the day
7. Breakfast and pool snack bar is great

Great hotel, great location, great breakfast
Very quiet. They also have small private parking. Our flight was late at evening, the hotel hosting us with pleasure in the pool and suggested to have a shower before leaving to airport.
I definitely recommended
