Santa Elena in Kamari

This little hotel has to be one of the best I have ever stayed in. I had the most wonderful week here, it was spotlessly clean, quiet and tranquil. Yes 5-10 mins easy walk down to the beach. The breakfast was always different everyday, so always something to enjoy and the Greek Yogurt was the best I have ever tried. Most of all, what money cannot buy is the personal service provided by Sofia. What a gem she is, nothing is too much trouble and makes you feel like family. So if you want a tranquil stay, comfortable bed and breakfast wrapped up with a smile, this is the place to stay!

We stayed for one week in September 2024. First time to Santorini and so glad we stayed at this “little gem” in Kamari. Yannis welcomed us on arrival and we were allocated a room on the 2nd floor. Room was small, but very clean with great shower and great air con. Lovely balcony overlooking the beautiful swimming pool and sea view to the right. Sophia welcomed us at breakfast and provided us with information regarding the Hotel, local area and excursions. She was so helpful throughout our stay - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely and something to suit everyone. Kamari centre was a 5/10 minute walk away (turn right out of the Hotel and walk to the bottom of the road where you will see a Church, turn right again and take second road on left, which leads you to the beachfront, restaurants and bars). Kamari is beautiful! To use the bus service, follow the same directions, but just before you take the second road on the left, the bus stop is on the right hand side. This bus is 2 euros and takes you to Fira, which is beautiful, although I recommend going in the evening, as it is very busy with Cruise Ships during the day. To get to Oia, take the bus to Fira and then change. If you are there at night, you can watch the sunset. We had a brilliant holiday in Santorini, such a beautiful place and our stay in Santa Elena was perfect. Thank you Sophia for being a wonderful host!

Wonderful 3 star hotel, combining a traditional and charming Greek bouganvilia drapes hotel building, upgraded to a modern and very very comfortable standard. Great breakfast serving all you could want. Impeccably clean. In easy walking distance of town and beach, in a perfectly quite location. Great pool area. Above all, run by the most amazing team of Sophia and Yannis. Highly recommended

Aah, were to start? We LOVED it here. Great staff, good breakfast. Close to everything, but far away enough for it to be Peaceful as well! The staff was so friendly, and the breakfast had a lot of different food, as well as the regular toast and stuff. And it was so great to cool down in the pool❤️ Thank you for a great stay!!

Stayed her with both mums in their own rooms, both aren’t that agile now, so the only downfall is if you aren’t mobile then taxi to get back is very easy. Now all the good stuff, Rooms are small but lovely and the water was always hot, rooms were kept really clean by the maid every day. The views of the pool and sea are great, breakfast was always good and Sophia and her brother could not have been more helpful, even showing us the choices of rooms on arrival and helping us with baggage. Requesting a taxi not a problem and you are near to the open air cinema and winery’s. We have stayed at this resort 3 times previously and loved it, although this accommodation was my favourite, I would return without elderly parents in tow. The swimming pool is super clean and quiet 🤫 maybe best not to tell everyone how amazing this property is.

This hotel is a hidden gem. Sophia is the perfect host. A warm welcome and offers helpful tips for getting around the island and best places to visit. If you want peace, rest and relaxation, this is the place for you. The pool area is clean and no fights for sun beds. The location is perfect for the beach and restaurants. Views from rooms are amazing. Cleanliness is 10 out of 10. Will definitely return.

Sophia was an amazing host (always made sure we had what we needed). She arranged the transfer for us to the airport and upgraded our room. The property is amazing with tidy rooms and the pool 🏊🏻‍♀️ is great. We had everything at walking distance ( bus stop, open air cinema, beach).

We stayed in Santa Elena for 3 nights, and it was too short… This place is so amazing, it’s really quiet, the rooms are really comfortable, you have everything you need. Breakfast were very good - a lot of greek youghurt and feta cheese, which you cannot buy in a local supermarket. The hosts are the most amazing people, really helpful, they recommended us a lot of place to visit, to see and where to eat with a good price. They helped us rent a car. Every evening, when we got back from day trip, they wanted to chat and asked how our day went, what did we see. The most friendly people we met during our entire stay

Very nice and cosy hotel, highly recommended. Sophie, the owner, is a lovely person - always friendly and happy to help. The house and rooms are very clean, having everything you need for a stay. You can get to Oia and Fira by bus or renting a car - Sophie is very happy to help you with planning your tour and making your stay enjoyable. Looking forward to returning to this place again.
