Santa Elena in Kamari

This was the best hotel stay I have ever had and I have been to over 40 countries. The hosts are incredible people that you can trust to recommend and arrange everything for you on your holiday. Transfers, rentals, restaurants, trips and they are also full of wisdom we will never forget. The architecture is beautiful throughout. Breakfast was wonderful and lovingly made and served each morning. The fresh water pool is a delight, with sun all day and spectacular views of the sea and mountains. The location is perfect, set back for peace and quiet and only a five minute walk to where it's all happening. Pulling together all faculties of my conscience I can honestly and genuinely say, the stay was perfect. I long to return.

Hotel was excellent. Owners are super friendly and attentive to your needs. Breakfast was nice. Beach is about 15 minute walk and the bus is about 7 minute walk. Bus can take you to Fira and Eau. No food or drinks available at the hotel after breakfast. Rooms were comfortable with private outdoor space. Beach area had shopping and dining.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Santa Elena in Santorini. The hotel was very clean, cozy, and overall just perfect for a relaxing holiday. It is simply and thoughtfully designed, with everything you need to feel at home. Breakfast is also simple but complete, offering all the essentials to start the day well.

What really makes the place special is that it is excellently managed by the siblings who run it – they are warm, welcoming, and make sure everything is taken care of. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful, making it a great spot to unwind.

There are parking spaces available, which is very convenient if you’re traveling by car, and the location is great – just a short walk to the beach and also very close to a bus stop, making it easy to explore the island.

Overall, a lovely place that makes you feel comfortable and at home. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved our stay at Santa Elena. Sofia and Yannis were the kindest and most accommodating hotel owners I have ever come across and I am worried that other hotels I stay at in the future will now not meet up to their very high standards!

This little hotel has to be one of the best I have ever stayed in. I had the most wonderful week here, it was spotlessly clean, quiet and tranquil. Yes 5-10 mins easy walk down to the beach. The breakfast was always different everyday, so always something to enjoy and the Greek Yogurt was the best I have ever tried. Most of all, what money cannot buy is the personal service provided by Sofia. What a gem she is, nothing is too much trouble and makes you feel like family. So if you want a tranquil stay, comfortable bed and breakfast wrapped up with a smile, this is the place to stay!

We stayed for one week in September 2024. First time to Santorini and so glad we stayed at this “little gem” in Kamari. Yannis welcomed us on arrival and we were allocated a room on the 2nd floor. Room was small, but very clean with great shower and great air con. Lovely balcony overlooking the beautiful swimming pool and sea view to the right. Sophia welcomed us at breakfast and provided us with information regarding the Hotel, local area and excursions. She was so helpful throughout our stay - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely and something to suit everyone. Kamari centre was a 5/10 minute walk away (turn right out of the Hotel and walk to the bottom of the road where you will see a Church, turn right again and take second road on left, which leads you to the beachfront, restaurants and bars). Kamari is beautiful! To use the bus service, follow the same directions, but just before you take the second road on the left, the bus stop is on the right hand side. This bus is 2 euros and takes you to Fira, which is beautiful, although I recommend going in the evening, as it is very busy with Cruise Ships during the day. To get to Oia, take the bus to Fira and then change. If you are there at night, you can watch the sunset. We had a brilliant holiday in Santorini, such a beautiful place and our stay in Santa Elena was perfect. Thank you Sophia for being a wonderful host!

Upon our arrival, Sofia, the owner, warmly welcomed us and made us feel right at home. The room was small but tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. We enjoyed a lovely balcony overlooking the beautiful garden and pool. The garden, where we had an excellent breakfast each morning, also offered stunning views of the sea and sunrise.

While the accommodation is a bit of a walk from the beach, shops and restaurants are easily accessible on foot within a few minutes. Sofia's warmth and hospitality more than compensated for the short walk. She provided us with great restaurant recommendations upon arrival, and before we left for the airport, she even prepared us a breakfast snack to take along. Although she called it a "small box," it was plenty of food for our time at the airport. She also made us excellent coffee at 7 AM.

The only downside was that we could only stay for two nights. We are truly grateful for the wonderful welcome and will definitely return if we find ourselves back in Santorini!

Wonderful 3 star hotel, combining a traditional and charming Greek bouganvilia drapes hotel building, upgraded to a modern and very very comfortable standard. Great breakfast serving all you could want. Impeccably clean. In easy walking distance of town and beach, in a perfectly quite location. Great pool area. Above all, run by the most amazing team of Sophia and Yannis. Highly recommended

Aah, were to start? We LOVED it here. Great staff, good breakfast. Close to everything, but far away enough for it to be Peaceful as well! The staff was so friendly, and the breakfast had a lot of different food, as well as the regular toast and stuff. And it was so great to cool down in the pool❤️ Thank you for a great stay!!

Stayed her with both mums in their own rooms, both aren’t that agile now, so the only downfall is if you aren’t mobile then taxi to get back is very easy. Now all the good stuff, Rooms are small but lovely and the water was always hot, rooms were kept really clean by the maid every day. The views of the pool and sea are great, breakfast was always good and Sophia and her brother could not have been more helpful, even showing us the choices of rooms on arrival and helping us with baggage. Requesting a taxi not a problem and you are near to the open air cinema and winery’s. We have stayed at this resort 3 times previously and loved it, although this accommodation was my favourite, I would return without elderly parents in tow. The swimming pool is super clean and quiet 🤫 maybe best not to tell everyone how amazing this property is.
