Arion Bay Hotel in Kamari

We had a fantastic week at Arion Bay in Santorini, and our stay there made the holiday even more special. The staff, especially Alex and Giorgios, went above and beyond for us — always friendly, helpful, and fun to talk to. They truly made us feel at home while on vacation.

The rooms are not big, but they have everything you need for a sunny holiday. Everything is well maintained and cleaned daily. The location is amazing: just steps from the sea, with the hotel’s own sunbeds on the beach, so there’s never any need to rush or reserve. The pool is wonderful too, with plenty of loungers and umbrellas, just like at the beach.

Breakfast is well taken care of and always filling — you won’t leave hungry.

All in all, a truly wonderful experience and a well-deserved five stars!

Clean, comfortable structure located on the Kamari seafront. Optimal location!
Kind and attentive host, also before arrival he organized the transfer from the airport to the property and answered all questions daily via email.
Very good and varied breakfast.
It's the best choice if you need to live your holiday in relaxing mood.

Wonderful hotel in a great location!
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a lovely family feel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!😊

My mum and I just came back from one of the loveliest holiday´s we ´ve ever been on. And that is also thanks to the Hotel and its staff. We have been told that Arion bay was the luxurious 3 star hotel in Kamari and It turned out to be quite true. It´s right on a beach, very nicely situated. With large pool, sunbeds, pool bar of course and wifi all over the area. The rooms aren´t perfect but they are more than satisfying for the time of your stay. The housekeeping was also decent, new towels every day, cleaning, moping the floor, anything you need and you dont have to ask for it. The owner - Elijah - is very nice, friendly and helpful, he speaks fluent English and German. What we really loved was breakfast. Anything you can think of. Bacon, eggs, sausages, cereals, fruit and vegetable salads, sweets etc. The hotel is for everyone. We were just two but there were also families with little kids (cca from 6 months and older) and it is very comfortable for older people as well. (wheelchair is not a problem, there is low-floor access). I can´t but recommend.

Generally speking an ok hotel. But room sucks. Plusses: Location Elias is very helpfull and friendly Minuses: Maria from stuff is too loud without earprotectors! Mattress was too hard. Pillow too hard and high Shower in room is old and messy with water all over the bathroom The balcony doors didn't work Sometimes cleaners forget to give us new towels Once we had to drink instant coffee. They didn't had any real coffee at 9:30 in the morning The room is too small for two single beds.

We have had very nice holidays in Arion Bay. The Romanian Tourism agency which booked the rooms made an error and I have had to sleep, for a night, in another hotel. Ellias, a really kind person, tried to make up my discontentment offering me what I think is one of the best rooms in hotel, in the old building. All white, recently renewed, with funny furniture built in concrete (I think) and painted in white, large, with sea view, a nice balcony with bougainvillea flowers, it was absolutely adorable. The bathroom was correct, plenty of hot water, very comfortable. The location is good, in a quiet enough area, the breakfast was very good, and everything went more than OK.

We to Santorini for my friends wedding & we had a great time! Arion Bay is in a great location and you have got restaurants, bars, shops and the beach on your doorstep! ilias & tony are great hosts! The rooms are basic but comfortable the only thing i didnt like was the showe! its just a shower cubicule and you have to hold the shower yourself but i got used to it after a while & the majority of hotels are the same even 4* hotels! The pool area is lovely and really clean! The breakfast is also very good! We loved kamari and we always met in the bar Dolce before going for a meal we always had a laugh with the bar staff in there! We definately prefared Kamari to Perissa because Perissa is al so spread out nd the front is not as nice as Kamari! During the days we all met a pool bar called Silia its a great place to meet if theres a few of you all in different hotels & you all want to be together uring the days, the snacks are great there especially the ham & cheese wraps & club sandwiches! My friend got married at Santo Winery & it was a perfect day! Everyone had a great holiday in Santorini!

Well this was my 3rd trip to Santorini and I can say that this place adds that "Something Special" feeling to your vacation. As I stated here and on Virtual Tourist that this hotel answered my question about the song from the Eagles, The Hotel California, where they state "You Can Check Out Any Time You Like But You Can Never Leave". It's like when you leave part of you stays. The staff, Elias is the best bartender on the island, really makes this place much more then a place to eat and sleep. BTW, there buffet is really great as are the rooms and the location. As one person commented of hanging at Elias's bar, "He Could Make A Party Out Of A Empty Room". Not to say it's a wild place, old and young blend in nicely, it's just a pleasent group that enjoys meeting and having a good time. Though it's Arions first year, as it use to be part of the boat House Hotel, it is well know to manny as they have been coming back yr after yr.. I would just suggest to book early if you can cause with the great value and great times here it was fully booked this Sept. and will be next yr. also.
