Iberostar Grand Hotel in Budapest

My wife and I were in Budapest for a quick 36 hours and the Iberostar was out of this world! The staff was very helpful when we arrived around 10am. They greeted us with water (or sparking wine) and stored our bags for us until we could check in. The rooms view was amazing and the room itself was stunning. The rain shower and deep soak tub were exactly what we needed after a long few days of travel. The rooms are extremely quiet and the bed was very comfortable.

Our flight didn’t leave until late so once again they stored our bags and gave us a shot of coffee liqueur.

The location itself is very central - walking distance from most things including the tram, St. Stevens, the river, and lots of great food.

I have traveled a fair share in my life and this was by far the best service I’ve ever experienced. Sad we had to leave!

Would stay here again without hesitation.

Great hotel in a superb location to explore Budapest. Clean and spacious rooms, superb service and the staff had great advice on where to go and where to eat. The gym was small, but we ran along Donau instead. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

My husband and I had a great stay, the staff were lovely, very efficient and pleasant. The room (no 303) was a deluxe which overlooked the square. We stayed from the 12th to the 15th March. The surrounding area has some very nice places to eat, in particular the Trattoria Mamma if you want simple but delicious Italian food (the cheesecake was the best we have ever tasted) The Mini Bar in the square by the Basilica was another great place to eat with a good selection of cocktails and we found a lovely Hungarian restaurant literally 100 yds as you turn right out of the hotel. We went to the ruin bars, we hopped on and off the tour bus so many times we didn't need the headphones in the end, the evening tour was really good (all included in the price) So many interesting places to visit, Parliament is a short walk away from the hotel right on the river. Great place for a short break.

This hotel was dreamy. We loved everything about it. The room was very specious and fully equipped with all the amenities. The jacuzzi and saunas (wet and dry) just hit the spot after spending some time in the cold weather. The food at the breakfast buffet/restaurant was delicious and made to order and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. By far the best hotel I stayed at.

Location is excellent, neighbourhood is safe and upscale, all of the staff are friendly and professional and very welcoming. The rooms are large with high ceilings, big tv, big bathrooms. The thing about this hotel is the crazy decor, looks like Euro Barbie’s Hotel, crazy silver chairs and couches in the lobby, red and white bedrooms. If they changed the decor/furnishings to contemporary with neutral colours they could charge more.

Very good service and consideration from all staff. The food selection was great and so was the drinks that were ordered. They were also extremely accommodating. Also feels very grand when you walk in.

Lovely hotel with great location.Just a short walk to Parliament, St. Stephens,and many good restaurants. The staff was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the spa after a full day of sightseeing.

6-11 Feb 2017 - I had a fantastic view overlooking Liberty Square. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The Hotel is also located within walking distance of many tourist attractions and fantastic cafes. There was a festival in the Square my last night in Budapest that ended my trip on a high note and my pockets at bit lighter. I would definitely return.

Great value for money, however extras mount the costs up considerable. Be aware of local taxes on anything you purchase. Massages carry local charges as does room service. It's worth noting.

Love this hotel, has a great scent inside it's clean and fresh. Stylish hotel overall and the rooms are very comfortable. Great bar area for drinks and cocktails but its a bit pricey so do be careful especially on the wine prices.
