Central Basilica in Budapest

Excellent location, excellent clean room and the staff are very friendly, incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. We hired a mobility scooter for the duration of our stay and the effort from the reception team not only to store it safely but to make sure that it was fully charged for the following day was appreciated. Thank you.

Great hotel right next to at Stephens square. Location is perfect for getting to most places on the pest side of the river.

Bed was comfortable and staff friendly. Very little facilities outside a bed and lift. There is a cafe attached to hotel which was decent enough though.

I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Central Basilica—definitely one of the best hotels in the city (with disappointing breakfast).

The hotel is very modern, stylish, and exceptionally clean. The rooms are cozy yet well-designed, with a contemporary feel that makes the stay very comfortable. Everything felt well-maintained and thoughtfully arranged.
A special mention to the amazing staff, especially the gentleman at reception named Balcatz (I hope I’m spelling it correctly). He was extremely helpful, friendly, and made the whole experience even better with his professionalism and warm attitude.
The location is unbeatable—right in the city center. You’re within walking distance of restaurants, coffee shops, and major tourist attractions, including the Hungarian Parliament Building. Exploring the city from here is incredibly easy. They even offered luggage storage free of charge, which was very convenient.

However, the breakfast was extremely disappointing. It had very limited options, and many items were out of stock. For a hotel that excels in so many areas, this was one of the worst breakfasts I’ve encountered.
Overall, a wonderful hotel with modern comfort, excellent location, and amazing staff—but the breakfast definitely needs improvement. Still, I would recommend it, especially for families, but manage expectations when it comes to the morning meal.

Good breakfast, although once it got busier food was not replenished frequently enough. Would imagine in season might be an issue.
Room was quiet and clean (not perfectly though as found some hair on the floor in the bathroom upon arrival). Not enough toiletries left for 2 people in my opinion.
They let you leave your luggage when you check out at 11.
The main reason its not 5 stars for us, is you can tell that hotel rooms our outdated including plumbing / ac units. There was a smell in a room from old plumbing, and AC / heating units produce smell when on. We only slept there so didn’t make a big deal out of it, but for some people this might be dealbreaker.

The location is excellent; you can walk to all the surrounding attractions.

There are cafes, restaurants, pubs, currency exchanges, etc. around the hotel, and the cathedral is right in front of it, so the location is good. The tram, subway, and airport bus stops are about 500m away. It's also a great place to go to tourist spots. There was a Google review that said the air conditioner didn't work, but the air conditioner remote control (made by Siemens) is unique, so if you don't know how to use it, I recommend asking the front desk.

The location is good and can access to major attractions easily. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Lots of restaurants with different cuisines. Highly recommended.

The view of the church is right from the window. The location is very good. It takes about five or six minutes to walk to the subway. It's very lively downstairs, and it might be a little noisy at night. I stayed in a two-bedroom room this time. I don't know if it's because no one has stayed there for a long time, but the air is not very fresh. It will be better after opening the window for ventilation. There is some dust in the room, especially on the towel rod in the bathroom. There is a layer of dust on one of the sheets when I checked in. After I told the front desk, it was immediately resolved.

The location is convenient and quiet at night. These are two pluses, but the rest is not so much. The windows overlook other rooms, I feel like I'm in an aquarium, in the bathroom you have to lower the blinds all the time, otherwise it's not even comfortable to wash your hands, you can see everything. Very thin tulle. Breakfasts are meager. There is no luggage area when entering the hotel. I didn't like it
