Hotels on Velence lake in Hungary

The service is terrible. The hotel is heavily understaffed, and everything is very slow. Wellness is not maintained, half of saunas are turned off to save energy cost. They have never heard about customer focus. Sauna seance was great. I recommend it to everyone.

We stayed overnight at the Velence and the hotel room was elegant and comfortable. DInner and breakfast were OK, although we had requested vegetarian and gluten-free food but on the buffet dinner main choices there was nothing that was GF veggie. The staff were generally friendly (and spoke good English), and the location is lovely with great lake views. But the big let-down for us was the thermal...

Wonderful place. Nice room, polite staff. Food is nothing special, but you won't be hungry. The spa itself is ok, but rather dirty. All in all, it is recommendable.

Out of the Hungarian vacation time, the service was still very good. Each and every area are clean, everything is prepared for the children, even if they were only a few at this time. Food is fine with Hungarian dishes. Perfect for a few relaxing days with family

Nice hotel next to the Valence lake with small indoor and outdoor wellness pools, jacuzzi and few saunas. Staff very kindly, room clean and comfortable. Excellent food.

Food was very nice (buffet choice for breakfast and evening meal). Staff were very friendly.

Excellent stuff, especially in restaurant and bar. Food in restaurant for breakfast and dinner is really good. All is freshly cooked and really diverse.

The hotel staff is great, the food was very good. The wellness section is is quite big compared to the hotel size. The one thing I was not totally satisfied is the temperature of the steam cabin, a bit warmer would be better.

We spent a few days here with two small children. The food was varied and delicious. We have already visited many hotels in Hungary, but they can surprise you with really tasty food in few places. He succeeded here. The wellness and outdoor spa area was also quite spacious for us. It is unfortunate that you could not swim on the free beach next to the hotel because it is prohibited by a sign. Overpriced, too expensive and seems quite abandoned. Was the only thing we found and it was not too bad but for that money there were better things, we were told 40 euros the night but it was per person. Check out at 10 was too early. There's no private beach, it's close to the lake. Room 23 had air conditioning which was great. The place looks like it's not being managed, a lot of things look broken...

A cute hotel right on the Velence lake shore..really nice view and generally on a very beautiful spot. It has 2 billiard tables and a mini pingpong which is a pretty nice way to spend your afternoon. The pool/jakuzzi area is quite nice and since it's indoors you don't need to worry about the cold! We were there on a small conference weekend and the conference room was spacious and came in very handy...

Cute hotel, but some of the rooms are somewhat oppressive. Food was OK, right beside the beach but has no direct beach access due to vegetation.

The Hotel is fantastic, a real gem of the area. At first sight, I had the feeling of an oasis. Kind, helpful, friendly staff.....

The rooms are nice, but there are a few things I don't really like: - the Atrium is very close to the railway tracks, because of this you can hear all the noise in the room, in addition, a train comes every 5 minutes - if some hardcore party is going on in the neighboring campsite, you can hear everything in the room - not all rooms have air conditioning (!) - most of the rooms are glazed, so the room...

Friendly service, nice, modern rooms, waterfront, near the stand, delicious breakfast, cozy communal spaces, shaded closed parking lot. I recommend.

Good sides: - Destination is good and very close to a small beach which you can access for free(good for everyone besides kids under the age of 6-7) - Food was delicious (breakfast with good variety for everyone)! - Inside the hotel was quiet and fancy - On site there are games like Darts, Billiard, Table tennis. - Staff are polite and nice - Parking place always available. Great hospitality, excellent value for money.

Nice place to stay for a cheap price, you get what you expect, perfectly suitable for students. For adults, i would prefer better conditions. The food is superb, for a really affordable price, we were surprised how delicous the meals were. The beach is very close which is also a positive. If you don't have high needs, then this is a good place for you. Though expect the other residents to be noisy...

Very nice, helpful reception. Rooms are very nice and clean. Breakfast is fresh, plentiful and varied. We really liked it. 🙂

The restaurant is a bit expensive, but also very quality: the service is attentive and fast, the food is perfect. The hotel apartment is like, spacious living room, separate bathroom for single use only. Cold water needs to be carried out because it starts with burning water, overheating in the wall. The air conditioning is quiet, strong, but cannot be started at night, only in the morning.

Great place for stay. All staff is very friendly and helpfull. Rooms are very clean and tidy. Breakfast is very wonderfull. Also very near to markets and lake. Highly recommended.

Beautiful accommodation with a short walk to the lake, food in the restaurant is first class. rooms are modern and well equipped, very comfortable indeed ! would very much recommend.

Everything was fine at the accommodation. We were kindly received, the bed was comfortable, the room faced the courtyard. We weren’t bothered at all by the noise of the railroad while we slept. The bathroom is spacious. Parking is free. If you like to walk, you can reach everything in Agárd and Gárdony. Nice, clean and quiet place to stay. Very good breakfast.

Stayed here July 2013. Very friendly, reasonable rates and a very short walk [across the railway track] to the lake and camping park.Only draw-back for me was the language barrier. My Hungarian is very limited, as is the English spoken by the very helpful and friendly staff there.
