Unfortunately, the hotel is clearly showing its age and does not give a well-maintained impression – especially the cleanliness left much to be desired. The breakfast was also rather disappointing, and the service further negatively impacted our stay. We found the breakfast staff particularly unfriendly: When we asked for hot water for our 5-month-old baby, we were refused and told to use warm water from the tap – absolutely incomprehensible.
The only positive thing we can mention is the air conditioning, which worked reliably. Overall, however, our stay was disappointing, and we would not recommend this hotel.
I didn’t have the option to choose my accommodation during my stay in Szeged, and based on the initial reviews, I was expecting a poor experience. However, I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival to find that I had been given a newly furnished room. The check-in process was quick, and the room was clean and tidy—contrary to what I had read in previous reviews.
In fact, I’ve stayed in four-star hotels with dirtier rooms and less friendly staff. Although I didn’t personally pay for my stay, I would say it offers decent value for money as a budget hotel.
While the furnishings in other rooms and common areas were older, everything was kept clean. The staff, especially the receptionist, was extremely kind and patient—kudos to her.
The breakfast included all the basics you’d expect in any hotel: eggs, jam, toast, salami, cheese, coffee, and juices.
As for the location, it’s about a 15-20 minute walk from the city center, but you can reach it in just 5 minutes using an electric scooter from “Lime.”

A simple, somewhat dated hotel with excellent beds. Everything was clean. There was a nice balcony with chairs. The breakfast was modest; the stale rolls were a shame. But for the price, it's definitely recommended.
