Kolping Holiday Resort in Heviz

Our stay at the hotel exceeded all our expectations in every possible way. There was a wide selection of food, including plenty of options specially prepared for children, both at breakfast and dinner. The rooms and the entire hotel are thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail with families in mind – from rounded table corners and safety gates on the stairs to strollers available for guests. The activities and facilities for children are absolutely outstanding and truly second to none. We can highly recommend this hotel to everyone, especially families with kids.

We had a generally very good experience at Kolping Hotel. The food was amazing, the staff were incredibly kind, and the kindergarten availability is a massive plus for parents. However, there are two areas where I think the guest experience could be improved: ​Sound Insulation: We could hear the neighbors on their balcony word-for-word late into the evening, even with all our windows closed. It would be helpful to either improve the soundproofing or implement a policy/reminder for guests to keep noise levels down on balconies after 10:00 PM. ​Indoor Pool Facilities: The indoor options felt a bit limited. For children, there is only one small slide. For adults, while there is a thermal and a swimming pool, the lack of a jacuzzi or hydrojet features was disappointing. ​Overall, it was a nice stay, but updating the indoor pool area and addressing the noise bleed would make it a 5-star experience.

It is around 2 hours drive from BUD airport/Budapest city. Great place for kids, even during the winter, although I imagine it would be better during the warmer months when there are outdoor activities. The best part is when there are other kids for them to play with. Bobo Fun is great. It is the highlight, for sure. The socks they sell you there are essential, by the way, so they should be included in the price, but they're not, of course! There are a few things that were not so great: 1. The only really important thing is the food situation. In general, I'm sure there are plenty of people who would enjoy it, but in our opinion, it was really not great. More seriously, however, there is a lot of cross-contamination. If anyone in your family has food restrictions, is vegetarian, or has an allergy, although they provide 'options' which are all clearly labelled, there is no separation from other food that you may not be able to eat, and I watched guests with no restrictions who were happy to dip the serving spoons into their own 'contaminated' food. That is not good. If you want water with your evening meal, you pay extra. In fact, only breakfast has everything included. FYI, all other times and places you have to pay, although there are Brita water machines around the place for you to fill up yourself at any time. 2. If you have small kids, a family room has a kids room with enough room to play, too. The parents' bedroom is also fine. There is a small TV that you can watch from bed, but in terms of a common area, to sit together, there is nowhere. A bit dull when you have kids who need to go to sleep early. 3. So, you can go to the coffee/bar, right? hmmmm.... A couple of substandard games to keep you amused, but don't get excited. We stayed four nights. We were ready to leave after three. Perhaps in the summer, we would have been more inclined to stay, but the food would still have been an issue.

We have been returning guests at the Kolping Hotel for many years – for us, it is the best hotel in the world for families. Here, everyone truly feels comfortable, from babies to grandparents. We visited the hotel’s beauty salon and were treated by Mónika, the cosmetician, and I can only say the best about her. During our summer stay at Kolping, she beautifully cleansed the problematic skin of my 13-year-old teenage son with great care and professionalism. Mónika is extremely experienced, kind, and understanding, and my son immediately felt comfortable and trusted her. It was such a positive experience that we specifically drove to Alsópáhok at Christmas just because of her. I wholeheartedly recommend the Hanami Salon and Mónika!

Great hotel with super team, programs. The best choice for families! We have been here for the 10th time and we will definitely be back. Our older children are already planning to come back together when they have families too. I think, taht says it all.

Very pleasant stay with four-star services. Beautiful hotel for children. It is a place od bright colors and diverse possibilities. Huge positive is Bobo fun park.

Paradise for kids and for families. Love the playgrounds, Bobo and Mimi the hippo, games for children. Super restaurant and foods.

The atmosphere is pleasant, the location is easy to reach, the rooms are spacious, the breakfast is plentiful, and the staff is friendly. They were also able to accommodate our gluten-free dietary needs! A truly child-friendly place to stay. Atmoszfére kellemes, helyszín könnyen megközelíthető, szobák tágasak, reggeli bőséges, a kiszolgáló személyzet kedves és glutén mentes étkezést is meg tudták nekünk oldani! Igazi gyerekbarát szálláshely.

We had a pleasant stay. The room was really comfortable, the kids loved it. The food was delicious and good variety. The outside area was really good arranged.
