The staff here was excellent but this hotel needs major improvements. It looks like owners don’t care about putting money into the hotel and only taking it out. His hotel has a good potential but is not going anywhere like it is. Breakfast was sent to room but very little choice except egg, banana toast and tea. Not worth the price hotel is charging

We have been travelling in Asia for a long time but this hotel shocked us. The whole hotel (as far as we could see) gave an unkempt impression and the hotel room was extremely dirty, everything was covered in a thick layer of dust.
The windows were old and leaky and the street noise made it almost impossible to have a conversation in the room.
The hotel did not agree to a cancellation of the hotel room for the reasons mentioned above.
We checked out immediately anyway and booked another hotel.

Not great
The checkin staff were rude and have a take it or leave it attitude. This hotel is very old and not worth the money they charge at all.

We stayed here for two weeks. Decent hotel for a very decent price for the locality. Courteous staff particularly the gentlemen who served us in the evenings.

This place used to have really good continental food, back in the day. As well as good, classy ambience. Over time, the food (at least the continental, haven't tried the Punjabi in a while) hasn't not been as good as it used to.

Always a pleasure eating here. There's still an old charm at this place. The tea and coffee are still traditionally served in teapots and a glass orb. The pastries and desserts are really good and not heavy on the pocket.

Historical place. Has old school waitstaff and decor. Takes you back to the 20s.The Swiss Chicken was divine. A deep fried chicken breast coated with cheese and bacon. Served with Mash and boiled veggies and bacon fried rice. Many use this restaurant as a landmark on the street and the area in General.
