The room was spotless, the staff were always helpful and on point. Fresh water, tea and coffee each day. A large, quiet room. And a very quaint elevator, retaining the original feel of the building. Breakfast was included for us and it was simple but certainly adequate. Fruit, cereal, toast, muffins, omlettes and a good selection of Indian favourites. We ate dinner in the restaurant a few times. The food was always tasty, although not always the same as "home", but hey, it's India. If I wanted things to be the same, what's the point of travelling?

Wonderful staff who helped when my elderly father was sick. We stayed in a large family room, watch feels like a mini apartment, ideal for a family of three or four.. This is our second stay here.. The staff remembered us fondly from last year..it is located in a quiet, beautiful part of Mumbai and the hotel itself is an historic building..Will certainly stay again next time my family is in Mumbai.

Firstly: I paid for an Indian friends room who checked in day after, but when she checked in they made her pay the room one more time, which was really embarrassing since I had promised her to pay for the room.
Secondly: I fell sick and posted don't disturb sign on door, the staff wake me up 2 times, knocking and ringing doorbell.

Firstly, double charged room for my friend, really embarrassing. I paid her room day before. Secondly, did not respect "don't disturb sign" on door, knocking and ringing on door waking me up, really annoying when sleeping while sick. No wine, this is "hard liquor" according to hotel.

The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood. It seems to be a historic building, but it's undeniable that the facilities are a bit outdated. The breakfast was simple and just average.

The hotel was in a very central location. They told us that the hot water is only on during certain times. The breakfast buffet was decent. The staff at the hotel was very nice & helpful.

This hotel is an old hotel that could use an update. With that being said it was quite comfortable to stay in. The room was clean and in a great location. The staff was very good and the young lady who was the concierge was exceptional. She helped set up a tour for us when our hired guide did not show.

Historic hotel
The hotel is in a good location and has some history, but had no doubt seen better days. The bed was comfortable, although the room only offered a small, frosted window, v so I could only tell if it was day or night and one what the weather was like if I heard pouring rain. The staff are helpful and welcoming

Best day @ Mumbai
I had a wonderful experience during my stay in Mumbai, especially at a historic property located in the Fort area. Everything was great overall, but I was quite surprised to find that the hotel didn’t have any electricity backup—that's definitely something to consider.
Otherwise, everything was good. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Not "Grand" in Grand hotel
The hotel is not bad, but the rooms need renovation. The elevator only goes up to the 3rd floor and you have to walk up to the 4th floor with your luggage. The rooms are clean but they need a total change of everything inside. I wouldn't stay here again if I had another choice. The breakfast is monotonous - the same every day.
The staff was friendly and helpful.

I really like the food here. Especially salli botti with roti. It is very delicious. I recommend this place.

Not sure what is so great about berry pulao . It tastes just about the same as any pulao except it's a bit sweet for the berries and that does not make it better to my taste at least . I suppose the USP is the fact that they import the berries from Iran which no other establishment does . Talk about USP .Learnt a lesson about marketing though .

A must for anyone going to Mumbai. Do try Chicken berry pulao. Excellent.

I came here with friends on my trip to Mumbai. Great Parsi food! Make sure you get the berry pulao. The 90+ year old manager Boman was a delight to talk to. We all had a great time.

Eating at this joint since childhood way back in early 90s now time has taken its toll. Went after 10 odd years signature dishes have lost its sheen berry berry pulao was cold and chicken was not cooked after paying 300/inr quality could have been better. Tiger prawns pulao is 900/inr killer price. Only thing enjoyed was caramal custard still the same. Why management wants us to switch off Mobile phones while eating ?
