Booked in a pinch when I found myself unexpectedly in South Mumbai for a night, mainly based on the location and the price. I’m glad that I did! Hotel Kemps Corner offered me great value for money. The hotel itself is a 3-4 star property. The room was tiny but well organised. It was clean and well maintained, with a nice comfy bed, big screen TV, and a clean modern bathroom. The design theme of my room (and maybe the hotel as a whole?) was nautical— that, combined with how small the room was, reminded me of a cruise ship cabin! The breakfast (on the 3rd floor roof terrace) was charming and gave the hotel a cute b-n-b vibe. Menu selection was fairly limited but tasty. The best part was that they include complimentary live music (flute) and foot massages— all done by the visually impaired as part of the Hotels collaboration with a local NGO or school for the blind. It was very cool and the foot massage was excellent. Donations are warmly welcome via an unobtrusive tip jar, but there is no pressure or awkwardness. Overall, a good stay at the price point and I’d consider it again or recommend it to others….

Do not stay here. Terrible hotel. Reception staff very unhelpful. We had booked two twin rooms. One was ok, the other was so cramped you had to step into the shower to close the toilet door. I ask to switch rooms and at first they said no, then yes, then no, then yes. They told me to pack up my room and when another room was available after cleaning they would take my bag to that room. They put me back in the same room!
The kitchen staff were amazing, the breakfast was ok.

Location is good with parking.

Could be wonderful if it wasnt so loud
The hotel itself is nice but the room is tiny and the main problem is that its very loud. You hear every door, the retro lift, etc and it is barely possible to sleep.

Great hotel to visit Mumbai. Location is not the best, as it's not easy to find any restaurants or supermarkets nearby but it is easy to move with Uber around city. Staff and room were great! Breakfast was local and nicely served on their terrace, but maybe to exotic for western traveller.

This is one of the best restaurants in Mumbai city. My first visit to China Garden Restaurant was I and my friends decided to hangout on Sunday form early morning. After visiting so many places we were so hungry and we decided to call Justdial for one of best restaurant near our place. We were at Kemps corner at that time and JD gave us detail about this restaurant and then we went to China Garden.

Used to have the best Chinese in Bombay some years ago. But since then 'Indian Chinese' has become a little passé . Loses out to Royal China in all departments now.

Over priced. Pricing is as per fine dining but its far from that. Ordinary table cloths & cutlery. Too noisy for a quiet & relaxing meal. Staff rude enough to make you feel their monopoly in their chinese food market. Owner needs to understand the difference between hospitality & good business. Worth a try, but surely over rated & over hyped by all means.
