It goes without saying that any property would be incomplete without the people who run the property. In fact it is the people who make the establishment worthwhile and rarely the other way around. this applies to all places of hospitality around the world. So in that sense the Lord's, opposite Cafe Universal at Colaba has some really kind and considerate people who work here. I stayed here for 8 nights, a bit of a rarity in this property since I found most travellers coming for a night or two. I was visiting my workplace in Mumbai in Ballard Estate, walking distance. The location is top notch. I had a few grievances with the housekeeping and a few other things that were graciously addressed by the management. So that is well appreciated. The key here is communication.. Travellers need to speak with the management if they find something to improve, not complain. and on their part the management needs to keep communicating with the travellers to see how their experience was. You just can't have a steady flow of guests with zero feedback on experience. a special mention for Xavier and Aadil. They are good people with good hearts. please smile more and make guests feel welcome. A few suggestions for the management - you are extremely over staffed. Bifurcate the staff into f&b , house keeping , maintenance etc. right now everyone is doing everything. you have 4 people hanging at the entrance doing nothing. that's just plain silly. - put them through a customer service training every year. the cost will be worth it. - get pest control done every 6 months in all the rooms. I personally killed 4 cockroaches in 8 days. - improve customer experience,make people want to come back.

Staff are terrible specially front desk ,I went with my family and they charge me with very high tariff ,they lied to me about the online tariff when I quote online tariff are very low,I asked some staff his name is XAVIER ,very rude and ill-mannered and it seemed like he had drunk alcohol, I was sitting and looking his behavior with other guest, don't know how the hotel management tolerate this things ••

The property is in best location. The rooms are so clean and the staff members of this hotel are very helpful and active. The hotel is very near to the marine drive within a walk of 5 to 7 min only. Must visit

I stayed for a day and unfortunately my experience was not good.
The water supply had a pungent smell as if the supply is from sewer line.Also the quilt and bedsheet was not clean.

20 days into a 42 day backpacking tour of India and used to staying in all types of accommodation. This is not a hotel, it’s 30 rooms in a building where you pay, sleep and leave. No welcome, no goodbye. It’s soulless, no plants no pictures, no redeeming features.
We booked a Superior Room with King size bed. On arrival, we were allocated a very small Standard room, 2 single beds, no room to place 1 let alone 2 suitcases. Wifi very weak. We complained and told no other rooms available. Raised with ******* then coincidentally shown a Superior Room with King size bed, but weak wifi only reached when door left open. Management knew of this problem and the next morning we were shown a Superior Room with average wifi which we accepted. Repacked and moved 3 times to have the room we paid for. This is a scam to allocate low price rooms at higher price.
Wifi is old fashioned. Guests given a password for each device which lasts 24 hours. Each day we had to ask for 4 passwords, usually 1 of these didn’t work and had expired by the morning.
Road outside has major pipe laying work. But when the piledriver started hammering at 03:30am, the night staff sat and watched.
Rooms & bathrooms are dirty and require a deep-clean and only cleaned on request as are towels changed.
The location central for Fort area, near Central station and walkable to Gateway, that’s all.
Price is high, poor value for money

All employees are very cute. Provide service very well I would like to recommend that many Thai people come and stay. It's really very good.

A quality food to eat with a home made taste. Specially stuffed puris and their varieties is finger licking. Price is very reasonable and good for 1 person. Even a less hungry person can take a share with the hungry person and it will not be less for both

I have been having food for the last 25 years on a regular basis ,the food is exactly the same taste, hot filling and value for money. The current management have preserved the current age old tradition . Keep it up

Wow. Such a nice place, couldn't imagine such pocket friendly place to be right in front of CST. Per person less than 100 bucks? Yeah, it's true.

Place has really fallen way below its reputation. The ambience has become that of a cheap local Indian restaurant. The paint in the air conditioned room has started to peel off where the ACs are attached. The service was way below par. I agree that I went there on a Saturday night and it was highly busy, but the waiters and managers ignored our orders more than once. We had to give our order for the main course twice, with an atleast 20 minute wait time in between because they forgot about our order.
Food is good. No doubt.
Dessert recommendation would be it's famous : Mission Impossible - a huge slice of a Swiss truffle chocolate cake, garnished with two scoops of Vanilla Ice cream and chocolate sauce, that is really difficult to finish after a complete meal. Order it only if you are with a bunch of friends or family.
Due to my bad experience at this place plus it's overall neglect towards hygiene and ambience, I am giving it only two stars.
Hopefully they will improve and i can visit it in the future. But it seems unlikely I would be visiting this place after the fiasco I faced during my last visit.

Great Chinese foods available here in Mumbai. Rocky road is famous for desert. In starters,dimsum were good. Interior was also nice. Staffs are efficient and well behaved. Mocktails were also refreshing.

Quality of food has deteriorated over time. It used to be good, but now all I can say is its average. I should add though that this is specific to this outlet. The one in sakinaka is quite good.

Great Chinese food paired with well done interiors makes this one of the best places to taste authentic Chinese in town. They have a good amount in their dish portions. Their Mongolian Pot rice and Chicken Hunan sauce are a must try. Also, the Noodles and Fried Rice dishes they serve and amazing in taste and are pretty healthy. It is very difficult to finish dinner or lunch here without having their famous Mission Impossible or the nut-laden Rocky Road. During dinner time, they are pretty crowded and you have to wait for a while until you get a seat. But, your dining experience will surely be a great one. They need to up their service a little bit. Otherwise, 5 Spice is an amazing and a perfect option to choose for lunch or dinner.

Cleanliness is not maintained. The table being dirty cutlery was placed on it without being wrapped in a napkin towel or tissue. Cockroaches were seen on the floor while we were dining. Too low standards for a place like this.
