Fabhotel Eros 282 in Kolkata

Hotel gave a fake positive review on my behalf on booking.com - the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. They did not clean the room, we stayed there for three days. They barely replaced the bedsheet after I showed them hair strands after checkin. Electricity went in and out every 10 mins. Most importantly - the staff was extremely rude, they did not answer us even when we questioned them on the face. They did not remove the plates that you use post breakfast and because of which it smelled very poor in the corridor - was not removed even when we complained.

It appeared a very nice stay while booking online. But in real it’s just an okay stay. Rooms have good size but a major drawback is that washroom is built with a glass separation in the room itself. No proper bathroom is there. Also there was no hot water. Seemed there geyser was not working and even complaining about it multiple times there was no solution. When you look at prices it’s not worth the services. Helping staff was good. Breakfast they provide in room. Location wise it’s a very busy area. Cabs sometimes used to cancel taking into consideration the location. In the surroundings there are many options of grocery stores laundry restaurants tea points etc. but all in all will not be staying again in this place as it’s not so comfortable as it looks in pictures. One or max two days stays is manageable but after that it’s quite uncomfortable

Very bad experience at this hotel.
1. We had a booking but on arrival, they denied online booking and took offline booking.
2. Cleanliness was nowhere to be seen. From dirty bedsheet to pillow.
3. Smelly and stained towels.
4. Stains of spitting on the wall.
5. At such price, no drinking water or toiletries provided.

Staff was very arrogant and unprofessional. On requesting a fresh towel, the house keeping staff said they don't have towels. On complaining, another guy came with a dirty and smelly towel. At checkout, instead of giving a proper bill, we were given some random handwritten bill which I am sure this hotel is doing to evade taxes. All in all super bad experience.

Faced multiple issues with the hotel room. Although had booked it only for a night but the issues faced were multiple and would have completely avoided this hotel if I was aware of this in advance. I would refrain recommending this to anyone. I will put down the issues faced, I have taken pictures for proof as well.
(1) the walls had stains and did not give a pleasant welcoming experience.
(2) Both AC and AC remote weren’t working properly, fan speed switch on the remote was missing. Hence if the AC works, you don’t have the option to change the fan speed. AC didn’t function properly in middle of the night, wasn’t responding to remote, at times the air wasn’t cold enough. The AC vents weren’t cleaned for ages, have pictures of layers of dust.
(3) Bathroom door fittings had gaps, so careful in case you are staying with someone, there’s no privacy.
(4) Bathroom’s commode toilet wasn’t clean enough, found a hair lying on the commode flap before even it was used.
(5) Bucket/mug was not clean and had a stained appearance, water wasn’t clean either (6) No packaged drinking water, you will be given normal regular drinking water that will be filled in bottles, gives a very unhygienic feeling.
(7) No option of hot/warm water in washroom
(8) false ceiling lights was hanging, one of them non operational.
(9) wasn’t given a toothpaste, most basic hotels provide a toothpaste. Was given a shampoo and soap
(10) Bedsheet , pillow cover had multiple stains, again gave a unhygienic feeling. Same goes for the towel.
(11) Handwash was filled with water.

Overall, a horribly bad experience and didn’t expect this experience after going through so many reviews. The staff seemed uninterested and not very welcoming. Not sure if this is the case because I booked for a single stay. I believe a bad room was allotted to me, and since it was just a night’s stay I didn’t create a fuss about it as I returned late at night and staff wasn’t there to even raise complaints .
