We booked a single-bed room for two nights but at check-in the staff informed us that only a twin room was available as the hotel was fully booked. It was a bit confusing how the room allocation was managed. On the second day, we were moved to a single-bed room as originally booked. The bed was quite small, but still acceptable. This was the fourth or fifth time that I have stayed at the Kempton Hotel. I have always found it a property that provides value for money. The staff are helpful and courteous; rooms are clean; breakfast offers a variety. The hotel is also very centrally located. I will choose to stay there again when I next visit Kolkata.

I stayed at this hotel from 1st to 4th December 2025. The rooms are clean, spacious and the food is good. The entrance may look a bit commercial but once you are in side the hotel premises, its a nice. The linen is fresh and so are the towels. The front office guy by name Mr. Halder was very helpful.
