I stayed 4 nights in this hotel. The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the biggest issue was the noise — the rooms are not soundproof, so I could not sleep well during my stay. They also need to improve their European breakfast options.

Kempton is a good 3 star perhaps masquerading as a 4 star. I stayed in an Imperial room with a wonderful giant tub, spotlessly clean, very friendly maids, porters and helpful management. This was the fourth or fifth time that I have stayed at the Kempton Hotel. I have always found it a property that provides value for money. The staff are helpful and courteous; rooms are clean; breakfast offers a variety. The hotel is also very centrally located. I will choose to stay there again when I next visit Kolkata.

I stayed at this hotel from 1st to 4th December 2025. The rooms are clean, spacious and the food is good. The entrance may look a bit commercial but once you are in side the hotel premises, its a nice. The linen is fresh and so are the towels. The front office guy by name Mr. Halder was very helpful. Overall a very pleasant experience and value for money.

We had lunch at Swagath Restaurant today . There were 7 of us and we ordered both North Indian and South Indian dishes. I must say, the quality of food was excellent and the prices were reasonable. We thoroughly enjoyed the lunch and I highly recommend dining at Swagath.

We didn't stay at the hotel but had gone to their restaurant during Onam to have the Sadya. The spread was quite wide and everything tasted really good. Service was warm too. The manager was sweet to keep checking on us if the food was to our liking and if we needed anything.
