Nefatari Exclusive Villas in Ubud

The accommodation is simply unbeatable. Breakfast and even dinner were served on the terrace of our 300m² villa. The hotel's own free shuttle to Ubud (approx. 15 minutes) runs at any time you like. Since we stayed for four nights, airport transfers were also included. The staff, the rooms, the private pool, and the food were all outstanding. We haven't experienced anything like it at any of our subsequent accommodations in Bali. Because the property is located just a few minutes from the noisy, bustling Ubud town, it was our oasis of peace and quiet. Thank you for the wonderful time.

This was our first hotel in Bali, for 5 nights. If your intention is to use Ubud as a base for excursions to other parts of the island, I think it's better to choose another hotel, because the tours are usually long and you don't get to enjoy the privacy that the villas offer. Otherwise, the room is great; it feels like a typical Balinese house in miniature. The bathroom faces the outside, meaning it's covered but there aren't any walls as such. You see a wall covered in plants, and all sorts of insects—ants, geckos, frogs—come in. This extends to the rest of the room; there's always some wildlife. You have to keep in mind that it's a very wild environment. The pool is very nice; it's large, the water was clean even when it rained, and the temperature was good, rather cool. Outside the villa, there's a small porch with a table and sun loungers where they usually serve breakfast, but you can also order food or drinks. Our travel agency gave us a complimentary massage, which we enjoyed on the villa's sun loungers, and dinner, which we chose to have at the hotel's tiny restaurant. It was a simple but quite tasty meal. The location isn't the best; it's not very close to Ubud to walk, and at night the street is completely dark and always busy with traffic. There are no sidewalks either. There are several warungs (small, informal eateries) and other villas in the area, but it lacks amenities like a small supermarket or a nearby currency exchange, things that are always useful for tourists in Bali. However, the hotel offers a free taxi service to Ubud town center and some nearby areas within Ubud. We used it quite often and found it very convenient. The service was always excellent, as is typical of Balinese people—very attentive and friendly.

The room is very big, the outdoor bathroom depends on the person, insects are inevitable but overall it is very good, the sanitary conditions are very good, the water in the bathroom shower head is very small.

Our experience was Amazing.! Hotel staff was welcoming and greeted us with Some Sweet Banana dish and a welcome drink. Location is surrounded with greenery.. We got a room with private pool and we really liked the amount of food and breakfast options they have. Loved their Mi gorang, Nasi gorang, Lumpia They also helped us finding scooty from locals and manager was very friendly He gave us many tips and helped us in many ways. I would love to visit this hotel once again whenever we visit ubud.

In all fairness I would probably usually give this property a 4* review however I found the staff to be exceptionally helpful and it was great value for money. The villa was really spacious although slightly dated. Gardens well maintained and very private. although the location isn’t fantastic there is a free shuttle in to ubud on demand before 2200 each day. They were kind enough to pick us up and drop us off to a restroom along the way. There are also a few restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast was amazing and served on demand in the room and the afternoon tea each day was also exceptional (also served in the room). They also allowed us a late checkout which was greatly appreciated. My only real gripe with the property was the cleanliness. The towels were all stained (though replaced immediately when I requested it). However upon getting in to bed I found the sheets were also very stained and there was a full face of makeup on my pillow. If they upped the cleaning standard I would absolutely stay again.

Could not fault the place. The staff were so kind and accommodating, from the second we arrived they were there to open our car door and take the bags, they made such an effort to speak with us which was lovely and the room was gorgeous! Amazing price for what you get, huge pool, clean room, AC, shower & bath, free breakfast & floating breakfast in rooms pool, and free shuttles to ubud centre which was great!

We stayed here for 4 nights and simply loved it. The room, bathroom, the private pool, the whole outdoor area was just perfect. I think there are 9 or 10 villas here, but we would never know because it was so beautifully spaced out. Like the whole property was to ourselves. We would meet people at breakfast. We stayed at Mittir villa, it was the best. I am definitely going back there to stay! The hospitality was amazing too. They have a free shuttle to the Ubud market till 10:30pm, which is very useful since its away from there. Breakfast and evening snacks also great. Would hope for more vegetarian options in general across hotels in Bali.

Friends of ours suggested Nefatari as a wonderful place to unwind and relax away from the craziness of life....and they were spot on ! Our flight from Oz was delayed, meaning an after midnight arrival at Nefatari. We were warmly greeted by Made, provided a welcome drink and shown to our villa.....as soon as we walked through our courtyard entrance, we knew we were in a special place. A Beautifully constructed villa using local materials and built in Balinese style is completed with our own private swimming pool wrapping around two sides. A separate lounge and outdoor dining area complete what is a very thoughtful design tailored for outdoor relaxation. Once inside the huge open plan bedroom with enormous 4 poster bed, we explored the outside shower , spa bath and amenities. Once again, wonderful use of local landscaping materials and plants made the bathroom its own little resort within a resort........just magic ! We filled up on delicious breakfast each day in the Dining area just above the kitchen. Staff were welcoming and were happy to learn about us and what our plans were, often providing suggestions/options for day trips etc. Making use of the free shuttle into Ubud, we explored different areas every day, knowing that respite from the humidity and heat was waiting for us back at Nefatari.......the pool was just magic after a long day on the streets. Our room was spotlessly cleaned every time we left the villa and bottled water always replenished in the minibar fridge. A few nights we decided to eat in and were pleasantly surprised by the freshness and generous servings of the local favourites. We stayed for 7 nights and could not fault Nefatari in any area. Superb value for money, I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Made's property (Nefatari) for travellers wanting an authentic Balinese experience in the Ubud area without the glitz and price tag of a commercial chain resort.

I do not know where to start. The photos on *********** are outdated, this place looks much better in real life. This is honestly the best place to stay in Bali. The staff are the most kind and welcoming people who bend over backwards to make you feel at home. We travelled with our baby and they were just AMAZING with her. Every morning there would be a staff member there to pick her up and they'd all take such good care of her. She would often go missing into the kitchen, we could hear laughter and she'd be returned with flowers in her hair and treats. The breakfast here is so delicious. Unlike other accommodations, they do not have strict rules on breakfast, you can eat as much as you like and they always ask if you want more. The Bali coffee is the best we've had. We loved the French toast, nasi Goreng, fruit platter, banana juice and omelette. They also serve you breakfast until 1pm. They also offer free afternoon tea with coffee/tea and banana fritters (which are divine). One of the other great things about Nefatari is the unlimited free shuttle into and out of Ubud between 7am and 10pm. You just grab the whatsapp number and text them for pick up where you are. One night we wanted to go out for dinner without bub, and Giru, one of the Nefatari ladies stayed back to look after her. Our baby already loved her from breakfast and she was great with her. Ketut is a delight, he's great with our baby and organises everything for your stay. He remembers what you want in the morning and always has a chat. Putu,Kadek and Ari are also beautiful people, and once again great with our baby. I asked if we could have a flower bath one night, the staff organised this, no problem. The villa is clean, spacious, the pool is beautiful and the staff are always sneaking in a cleaning the room multiple times throughout the day. They have mosquito incense at night. There is also a fantastic massage lady who comes to your villa. It's so easy to get a massage with a baby. And it's only $15 AUD. We love Nefatari and make a point of visiting when we come to Bali. The staff really are fantastic and this is a great place for children. They even let my sister and her husband and kids visit, no problems. THANK YOU Nefatari family.
