This is our second time choosing this hotel. It's a wonderful, quiet hotel. Delicious vegan food, meditation, practices, the sounds of the jungle, and the view from both the rooms and the windows. The grounds are very green.

CAUTION: Deceptive booking practices, food safety issues, mouldy rooms

Very disappointing stay at Om Ham Ubud. The resort markets itself as a wellness retreat, but my experience was far from that. I’ve been visiting Bali for 8 years, and this was by far the worst hotel stay I’ve had.

Key issues:

Food safety concerns: Several guests in our group became sick due to food. Despite confirming multiple times that I had a gluten- and dairy-free diet, I was served food with gluten and have been unwell for four days and counting. The hotel offered a free massage as compensation, which was completely inadequate given the seriousness of the situation. I also noticed other guests with food allergies (lactose intolerance) facing similar issues.

Deceptive pricing: When trying to extend my stay availability was removed from booking platforms, and rates were immediately increased after I made an inquiry. This also happened with other guests, indicating deliberate manipulation of prices during extension requests.

Mouldy rooms: Some ground-floor rooms had a strong mouldy smell, which is concerning for health and comfort.

Poor staff response & safety concerns: While the manager Julita was professional and took these issues seriously, the rest of the staff showed little concern for guest wellbeing. Additionally, some balustrading on upper levels was loose and unstable, posing safety risks.

Nearby activities: Booking a car via GoJek was difficult, and the hotel charges nearly double the rate for their own drivers.

This experience was extremely disappointing, especially from a hotel claiming to focus on wellness. I would not recommend this resort, particularly for those with dietary needs or health concerns.

I could not recommend om ham enough, what a magic part of the world.
The staff were very gracious, even when I rocked up at 1am.
The buffet Breakfast was sufficient and the views from the restaurant were amazing.

Could not fault. Thankyou om ham!

Amazing hospitality from all the staff, all our needs were taken care of in a very personal level and the place makes you feel like you are the only guest around even thou they were fully booked for the weekend!!

If you are looking for a place to relax and be reconnected with yourself, I’d definitely recommend giving Om Ham a visit 😊

Walked down to this restaurant from our villa. It is situated in a resort hotel, but you can see the restaurant from the road so easy to find. We chose here as my partner was recovering from gastroenteritis & wanted options of something he could eat that was mild with no spices.

Restaurant was in a lovely setting, and staff very nice. We ordered the crispy duck for me and made an odd request of plain pasta with tomato sauce on the side for my parter. They were very accommodating.

Duck was delicious. Maybe not the best I had in Bali, but good nonetheless and the sticky sauce on it was amazing. You might be disappointed if you were expecting something like duck confit, as it's balinese style so very crispy. It also came with some skewers (maybe chicken) which was the best thing on the plate. All this came with a nice side of veg and rice.

It was a shame I was too full & my partner could not eat much as the dessert menu looked good. For 2 mains and 2 drinks it was 410k idr (including water, bread, service and tax).

Overall if you are passing by and wanted something more upmarket, I would recommend coming to this place. There are other cheaper restaurants nearby with good vibes if you are on a tight budget.

Hard to find, since there are no signs and it's inside a resort that has a different name. Prices annoyingly quoted in $, which is neither my nor their currency. Has that Balinese traditional music that can drive anyone mad. No view. After all this, breakfast must be amazing since they still dare to charge $13 for it. We had it elsewhere though. At least their location is not noisy if you discount the music.

Terrible food experience. We ordered ribs and duck both were dry and mostly bone. On the positive the wine was good value and the service was amazing. Wouldn't return however.

The owner is adorable, wanting always to give the best service. The juices are good, the food is fresh and organic. There are choices for vegetarians, vegans and ommnivorous too :D. it's near the Ashram Munivara (magical place). Recommended!
