The hotel boasts a strong Southeast Asian decor with five-star quality. The Red Level room is spacious, and the executive lounge is quiet. There are abundant facilities and a wide selection of restaurants. I've tried both the Chinese and Japanese options.

Lovely experience at Gran Melia. The breakfast buffet is great with interesting local flavours not found elsewhere in other hotels, such as tahu gejrot (fried tofu with sweet spicy sauce) and herbal jamu drinks.

For staycation, we book this hotel with redlevel benefits for two nights. The location is great, in Kuningan area surrounded by so many embassies, very quiet and safe. It is closed to couple important hubs for mass transportation.
The redlevel benefits is recommended, especially when you stay for multiple nights. Cozy vibe, good food and beverage, kind service.
The room is spacious and clean. And the service is great and timely.
Will be back if l have the chance

My first stay here was excellent, and I highly recommended this hotel to my friends visiting Indonesia. However, during my second visit, which happened to be over New Year's Eve, the breakfast service was incredibly poor, likely due to the large number of guests.

The staff's training seemed completely inadequate. An employee confidently led us to a table, only to stop halfway, realize the previous guests had just left, and the table hadn't been cleaned yet.

While they were cleaning, they asked us not to leave our seats, otherwise, the table would be given to someone else. So, we had to stand next to the table and watch them clean it. That in itself was fine, but the placemats weren't replaced, just wiped down. They were about to place new cutlery directly on placemats that the previous guests had used. It took me reminding three different service staff members, and eventually getting upset, before they finally changed them.

Replenishing the food at the buffet and essential items like cups and cutlery was very slow. With so many people, there was very little left to eat.

In conclusion, this hotel usually maintains a good standard, but during peak holiday periods with large crowds, the staff's lack of training and capability becomes glaringly obvious.

Room823: I got free upgrade to Grand suite king. All my special request are met by the hotel. Such as Smoking room, near lift lobby and early check-in and late check-out. What Impressed me a lot was the safety & security of this hotel. Good location. Lovely breakfast. Their staff are super super friendly & helpful. They always greet & smile at you. Overall i rate Gran Melia Jakarta 11 out of 10. They have done extremely beyond their professional level. Once again a big Thank you to Agnes, Rebecca, Anna, Tasya, Tyas, Room service & House keeping team for making my stay so meaningful during this festive season. Keep up your good work Gran Melia Jakarta!! Yes i will return again to this hotel!
