Rasuna Icon Hotel in Jakarta

​I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel. The reality was a far cry from the photos displayed online.

​Upon arrival, we were assigned Room 103. The floor was undergoing renovations, which made the area incredibly dusty. Despite it not being a holiday period, the staff insisted no other rooms were available when we requested a move.

​Here are the issues we encountered:
​Poor Hygiene: The room was filthy. There were mosquito stains and blood marks on the walls, and the room was full of live mosquitoes. To make matters worse, we realized the next morning that the bedsheets were stained and clearly not fresh.

​Subpar Facilities: The room felt like an old, neglected hotel. The toilet seat was loose and about to fall off, the shower was outdated, and there wasn't even a bath mat provided (we had to request one).

​Disturbing Noise: The air conditioner was extremely loud, and because the room was located right by the lobby, the noise from outside was constant. It was impossible to get any sleep.

​Breakfast: We paid for 3 people (including our child), but the breakfast was very minimalist and far below expectations for the price paid.

​For the price I paid, I expected much better. I have stayed in other hotels at the same price point that offer significantly better facilities and cleanliness. This was a very unpleasant experience for my family, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

Unfortunately, this hotel is very bad. I wouldn't give it even one star. Every day from 8 AM to 5 PM, there are construction workers inside the hotel, causing a disturbance throughout that time. We request that you assign someone to visit this extremely, extremely, extremely bad hotel, and we ask that you compensate us for the days we booked there. Oh God, the strangest hotel I've ever stayed in!

Our experience at The Rasuna Icon Hotel in Jakarta was nothing short of awful. From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was a mess. Slow, disorganized, and handled by unfriendly staff who made no effort to be welcoming or helpful.

The building itself feels unsafe and poorly maintained. There is only one small lift servicing the entire property, and unbelievably, no accessible stairs in case of an emergency or fire which is a serious safety concern for any guests, especially families.

When we got to our room, we were hit with a strong smell of mold. The air felt damp and musty, clearly not cleaned or ventilated properly. The photos on the booking page were completely misleading, they show rooms with nice views of the Jakarta skyline, but in reality, our “window view” was just a giant concrete wall a few feet away.

Because of the false advertising and poor conditions, we decided to check out after less than one night. This hotel is absolutely unworthy and unsafe for a family stay.

To make things worse, when we asked for a refund, the staff just gave us a WhatsApp number for the “owner”, who never replied. We’ve since been ignored by both the hotel and Agoda, and never received our refund.

⚠️ Do NOT stay here under any circumstances.
It’s unsafe, dishonest, and a complete waste of money. Save yourself the frustration and book literally anywhere else.

One of the worst hotel in Jakarta the people they don’t speak Arabic they don’t speak English they don’t speak Indonesian didn’t understand any language the manager the hotel has no manager can you believe? Managed by itself? Very funny I stayed there for two days and it was the worst days in my life. Bathroom is very bad not clean. Pillows are so old. Unbelievable I talk to Trip.com on this company who are giving us on false promises they said they will do their best to make you stay heavily. I stayed unhappy until until I check out from this hotel. I do not recommend this hotel to any human beings. This hotel is not built for human being the hotel is under construction.
