Hotel Maria in Castellabate

I stayed with my wife for four nights from September 7 to 11, 2025, also taking advantage of the quiet and functional private beach.
And even before leaving, I can't help but say that it's a quiet and relaxing family-run establishment where courtesy and helpfulness reign supreme, and the rooms are meticulously clean.
But special praise goes to the home-cooked cuisine for its excellent quality, lightness, and masterfully presented flavors, mouth-watering.

This was my first time staying at this hotel. What can I say? 💯💯💯. Rooms, food, cleanliness, beach, and resort were all perfect. Exceptional hospitality, and they were extremely helpful for us, as we didn't have a car. Thanks to Annalucia and all the staff... From Rossella and the other waitresses, always available, to the cleaning ladies, and Gerardina at the resort with her brother-in-law, the food was excellent here too. I RECOMMEND 🩷🩷

Excellent three-star hotel in the Lago district of Santa Maria di Castellabate. Cleanliness, courtesy, parking, and proximity to the sea (with a private beach included in the price and easily accessible on foot) are this property's strong points.
The breakfast is good (excellent croissants and a quality coffee/cappuccino machine), lunch or dinner is good, with a choice of two first courses and two second courses, a side dish and fruit or dessert, and mineral water (I personally always chose the fish dishes, which were really well-cooked).
The rooms have everything you need: air conditioning, safe, TV, bathroom with shower and hairdryer.
The management is attentive, and it shows even in the small details (I personally appreciate the bottled mineral water at the table).

P.S.: If possible, book sea-facing rooms; those facing the street are affected by noise.

We spent a week from July 26th to August 2nd. The hotel has been partially renovated, and our room was new, with a very comfortable bed and a very large shower. Breakfast is good but a bit repetitive, but the food is excellent; every dish is impeccably prepared and almost always seafood-based. The welcome is warm and welcoming; Annalucia, her sister, and her mother make you feel right at home. The location is a bit remote, but we already knew that. You have to take the car in the evening to reach Santa Maria, where there's a lot of action. Of course, you also have to visit Castellabate, which is truly a worthwhile village with breathtaking views. The sea is only 150 meters from the hotel, but unfortunately, it was the real downside of the holiday. The sea was rough at first, then dirty for the rest of the week. It was a huge disappointment, but obviously, it's no one's fault.
