Hotel Garden Beach in Castiadas

Went there for lunch, so rude welcome so we left

Rather disappointed from our stay. Whereas the staff is friendly, and the garden and beach are amazing, the rooms are very small and basic. We were upgraded to a suite, so expectations were high, but... the energy saving light cast a gloomy light in the room, the orange lights by the bed were horrible. A terrace both in the back and front was lovely, but no separation whatsoever with the neighbours, so zero privacy. Moreover, the suites are in the worst location of the site, ie on the end, by the delivery entrance, ie you are basically in the middle of a parking lot with cars parked on three sides of the suites (except the front), and lorries coming in and out all day at the back. Not to mention the 7 air conditioning units behind the room. Both at the restaurant and the beach, it was designated seating. Whereas this may be a plus at the beach (avoids these tourists who get up a 5am to take "their" seats), at the restaurant this is far from appreciated. As we had a suite, we were "privileged" and were assigned a table which was somewhat isolated from the cantine-like rows of tables, ie we were in between the other tables and the buffet, ie we were in the "corridor" as people tend to take the shortest route to/from the food. The food was OK, but no more than that.

I was there 2 years ago, it was the worst and dirtiest rooms I have seen in a hotel and toilet door was broken. The food was also terrible, even the pasta with tomato sauce was not delicious, I don’t know how they managed to do that. I wouldn’t recommend.
