Falkensteiner Resort Chia - Adults Only in Domus de Maria

I was there in 2017, everything was great and on high level. The special was that, there I ate the best pizza in whole Italy and world, an extra paid pizza in hotel's restaurant. Incredible

Very nice, green, clean and friendly hotel!

We have stayed one week here and this is what I can say: very spacious room, cleaned every day, nice view balcony. For the rooms located a bit higher in the resort, there is a golf cart that can transfer guests etc. For us, walking 5 minutes from the room to the restaurant was a pleasure, since the paths have flowers and nice vegetation. The infinity pool is quite big and cleaned every evening by a robot. The food is very good for a 4star hotel, plenty of vegan options and the main chef is very friendly. Maybe the breakfast coffee isn't the typical italian coffee, but you can get a real one at the bar (not included in the offer, but very cheap). Some people wrote that the drinks at the bar are expensive, I guess it depends with what you compare; compared to France, it was cheap. Staff is attentive and smilling. There is a solo singer in the evening with a pleasant repertoire.The location is gorgeous: surrounded by nature, 5 min walk to a small beach, clean and beautiful. We would deffinitely come here again.

The hotel is nice situated, peaceful, you have space around you, the pool verry big and clean, food can satisfy everyone, staff respectful, price/quality good.

I give you a honest 4/5. Here are the pros and cons I perceive from my own experience of the place :
Pro :
- nice staff, speaking at least English and Italian, and French/German/Spanish depending on the person, enabling comfortable communication.
- good entrées and plats, good choice of seafood (including locust and fish, every day for the moment). Still suitable for vegetarians (vegetables only, etc) although this is what the restaurant emphasises on.
- Efficient issue-solving crew : the hot water tank was disconnected when we arriver in our room, but it literally took less than 2 minutes to see someone fixing it from the moment I called the reception.
- nice ambient. The barman is super nice and patient, ready to help you learning some Italian or to reasily craft some good mojitos. The playlist is chill and various, at optimal volume so that one can hear the other speaking while having an enjoyable sound background.
- activities available (e.g. bow, foot, volley), yet the animation remains non-intrusive and chill. Maybe due to the fact that the hostel is not crowdy right now.
- nice and rather quiet (compared to the rest of the southwest coast) beach with cool chairs, near the hotel (400 m, 5 min) with a dedicated path for residents. Lucky ones can even see dolphins passing away from the coast. The guard provides posaceneres for you.
- well located near the Torre chia, quiet neighbourhood but certainly not so far from bars in Chia and Domus de Maria if you have a car. Good to visit the southwest of Sardinia.

Con :
- Even though there are traps to catch them, wasps are pretty unavoidable while eating at the restaurant in this moment of the year. Not always enjoyable, even considered that there is not many solution to be applied to reduce their number.
- the desserts were, in my humble opinion, the weakness of the restaurant. The tiramisu is always good but the rest sometimes lacks finnesse, compared to the other dishes proposed by the chefs.
- the pina colada is not part of the all inclusive formula. Even if wine is, it sounds to me like a tragedy :'(.

Conclusion : nice and quiet place to have chill holidays and nothing to worry about (except wasps but this is not such a big deal, isn't it ?). To do with rental car to visit the nice places around.
