A magnificent 4-star hotel in a wonderful location opposite the Sasso Lungo Dolomites, just a few minutes from the center of Ortisei, yet far enough from the town to enjoy the peace and tranquility of Val Gardena. We stayed for a week in June. The room was beautiful, large, spacious, and clean, with a balcony and furnished in typical Tyrolean style. The cuisine was top-notch! Excellent breakfasts and dinners with a variety of dishes to choose from, including typical dishes. Kudos to the chefs and the service in the dining room. Maitre Antonio is exceptionally friendly and kind. The owner, Marcus, is a true professional! He keeps a close eye on all customers. Twice a week, he organizes beautiful excursions for hotel guests, with great enthusiasm and joy! You can also use Val Gardena Active for free and ride with other guides. The hotel has an indoor pool with a glass window overlooking the Dolomites. The wellness center with a sauna and Turkish bath is also beautiful. It was a wonderful holiday for me and my 10- to 13-year-olds! It's a 4-star hotel, but with all the attention of a family hotel! I give it 5 stars, but I want to give it 10! I highly recommend it!

A wonderful property, impeccably run by the whole family. We took mountain excursions through enchanting landscapes led by Marcus, an excellent mountain guide. The food was excellent. We stayed at this splendid property for 8 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, decorated in typical Tyrolean style. The owner, Markus, and his family are always ready to accommodate guests' requests, ensuring a truly relaxing stay, whether you prefer hiking or e-bike tours. Our room was a spacious, well-appointed junior suite with a small balcony offering spectacular views of the Sella massif. Breakfast is a generous, delicious buffet, and you'll be asked to choose your evening meal from a varied menu that changes daily. The hotel also offers tastings, which can be arranged by asking Markus. His well-stocked wine cellar is also available. Guests can also enjoy the spa, complete with a swimming pool, sauna, and Turkish bath. The spa is beautiful and beautifully decorated, featuring unique wooden sculptures that are also found throughout the hotel. A small games room is available for guests. All rooms are always kept in excellent hygienic condition, with thorough cleaning and regular adherence to anti-Covid regulations. It was a positive experience for us, and we hope to return. I highly recommend it.

A well-maintained hotel in typical Alpine style, located near Ortisei, with stunning views of the Sasso Lungo and the saddle from your room. Facilities include a heated pool, sauna, Turkish bath, restaurant, and a garage with direct access to the rooms. The hotel also provides bus tickets to Val Gardena, which can be used throughout your stay, making it very convenient for exploring the villages of Val Gardena. I recommend taking half board to take advantage of the catering service, which includes dinner and breakfast. You'll find the chef will captivate you with typical Tyrolean and non-Tyrolean gourmet dishes. Another highlight of the Ansitz Jakoberhof is the walks with Markus, an excellent Alpine adventure not to be missed. It's a bit of effort, but you'll be rewarded with a natural wonder!

Sorry for writing this review 11 months after our visit! Last Christmas week (2024), we spent our fifth Christmas at this lovely hotel. And in just one month we will be there again for the six time! The location is in the sunny part of Ortisei which is important at Christmas time. The dinners are very good, the rooms spacious and nice and Markus and Andrea are always the best hosts!

A fantastic experience, this family run hotel definitely is worthy of its 4* rating. Located a little out of town, but with free bus pass for service to Ortisei’s center, the brother and sister owners are so nice and deliver wonderful service. The small, but useful spa in the basement has steam, sauna and a pool that provides excellent therapy after a long day of hiking. The breakfast buffet is sumptous and the evening meal varied between buffet style and 5-7 courses with choices - a bargain at €40 per person. If you do stay here, try to arrange a wine tasting with the brother/owner. There’s a lovely wine cellar tasting area and he has an extensive collection of local wines not seen outside the region. The rooms are large and comfortable with balcony views of the mountains.

We have spent several Christmas weeks at this lovely hotel. The hotel is located on the sunny side of Ortisei and we do wake up in the mornings to a beautiful view. The rooms are spacious and very nice, and we do appreciate the food served. The hotel is big enough to give us all the facilities we need, but "small" enough to secure a familiar charm with Andrea and Markus as our attentive, nice and professional hosts. We are looking forward to spending the 2024 Christmas week at this hotel in a couple of months!

Cozy, family run hotel with lovely woodwork throughout. Bus stop outside hotel, but free parking was very convenient. Pool/sauna/steam room was a relaxing component. We enjoyed table tennis in the game room. Salad buffet at dinner and breakfast buffet were very good. Fool selection was varied, with Bavarian flair. Rooms, though a bit dimly lit, were very clean. We enjoyed the Mountain views from our balcony.

We stayed me, my partner and the dog a week after mid-August in this hotel in Val Gardena in Ortisei for the first time, also because we like to change every year. The hotel's location overlooks the Sasso Lungo, fantastic, a couple of km outside the center of Ortisei, inconvenient if you want to go for a walk without using the car, but it's a choice... Hotel equipped with wellness, with a small hydromassage pool, sauna and Turkish bath, top after a day of excursions in wonderful places. Very varied and quality food, a waiter, always very kind.
