We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Golf Hotel Sonne. Helmut and his team took great care of us from check-in to departure. The location is perfect for a quiet view of the mountains, and the hotel sits on the golf course. The rooms are basic and comfortable. We stayed with half-board, and the 5-course included dinners were amazing. Staff from housekeeping to the restaurant were friendly, kind and professional. Breakfast each morning was served with suggested itineraries and activities for the day. This is a wonderful, family-run spot, highly recommend!

We spent a week here golfing, and we must say it certainly won't be our last visit. The hotel is beautifully situated at the foot of the Schlern mountain, with a magnificent view of the truly beautiful and challenging golf course. Helmut and his team are the perfect hosts, always friendly and helpful. The food in Restaurant 19 rivals any Michelin-starred restaurant. Every morning, the dinner menu was already on our table, along with additional information about the expected weather and possible activities for the day. You can truly feel the love and dedication with which this hotel is run.

We loved our two night stay at the Golfhotel Sonne! Breathtaking location, top-notch service, and clean/comfortable rooms. The breakfast and dinner service was very high quality ~ we appreciated the extra effort put into meeting dietary requests. Thanks to all the staff for such a memorable visit.

Great job!
Although the Golf Hotel Sonne predominantly caters to couples & groups on golfing holidays, Helmut & his staff made us ( a family of four on a walking holiday) feel very welcome. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

The Thomaseth family were the perfect hosts on our trip to Casselrotto. They put a lot of pride into their hotel and service. The lunch and dinner were beautifully presented and delicious. Nothing was too much trouble. The beds were so comfortable, I had one of the best nights sleep of the holiday. The setting is wonderful, nestled under the dramatic scenery of the Dolomites. It’s well positioned, close to the charming town of Casselrotto and is a golfer’s paradise. My husband and son enjoyed a round there, which was good value. Breakfast was great, and we would love to return one day. Grazie Mille.

Despite only 3 stars, the food was very good and the service extremely friendly. Booking rounds of golf was no problem and there was an excellent golf instructor on site. The golf training facilities are very good, the course is rather short but athletically challenging

A small and family-run hotel with attentive service. The food was very good every day and the view from the balcony of the golf course and surrounding area was a dream. The owner was always available to offer advice and help and the owner of the golf club also had great hiking suggestions.

Never again!! We needed a room for one night because the hotel where we were staying had no room on the night of 24/08... given the rating on booking I called and he gave me the price of €272.20 for one night only breakfast with two dogs (15 €/each) by emailing me the photo of the room we should have had. When we arrived, the room itself was nice but probably the only one where dogs could enter, with pee marks on the curtain, a spartan terrace with a classic eco-leather office armchair, a shower full of mold and broken tiles, I went down and asked if I could have two bowls (even aluminum trays) for the dogs and they gave me two 5 kg buckets of yogurt (imagine the Maltese who didn't even reach the edge) the girl who welcomed us was very kind, I can't say the same as the owner who continued to make fun of the accent of us Venetians repeating to us every time he saw us "who ghe xe".. breakfast poor to say the least, yogurt, 4 bowls of cereals, brioche mignon and krapfen that not even at Lidl. .chia seeds and linseeds full of cobwebs created by the classic flour butterflies (I think they have been discovered there for months and I'm not surprised) we had booked there because for work I needed an internet connection and after multiple tests I gave up because sometimes it connected (with a poor bar) and other times, with the same password, it said invalid password. When we returned at 10 in the evening the area was totally dark, from the car park walking 200 meters in the middle of a dark forest is not at all reassuring, inside the structure there were also no lights, especially in the corridor of the rooms, from the car with the mobile phone flashlight looking to see something!! At the time of checking out and paying, the owner didn't have the courage to ask how the stay went (and it was lacking)... I would have explained a couple of things to him by doing the same job as him... for the first time in my life I felt robbed..€272.20 I would have preferred to throw them down the bathroom drain if I had known it would be like this!!

This hotel was beautiful and the staff was excellent. They remembered our daughter by name and referred to as papa of xx and mama of xx — it was really cute. Clearly the draw of this hotel is golf but it’s a lovely and comfortable base of operations for non golfers too. The restaurant on site is so SO good. Even though our room was classified as non balcony, we we’re pleasantly surprised with a little private patio.
