I recently stayed at GranSerena Hotel in Torre Canne, and while the sea view room upgrade improved my experience, the overall stay was disappointing. The classic room had a view of the parking lot, and the gym and pool had very limited hours (9 am to 7 pm), making them hard to enjoy. Despite being labeled as "all-inclusive," many basics like beach towels, coffee, and soft drinks came with extra charges. The breakfast started fine but quickly deteriorated, lacking basic items like pancakes and waffles after a few days. The ambiance was unpleasant, with many older guests constantly in bathrobes, even during breakfast and in the lobby, which felt awkward. The parking system was also inefficient, requiring a new exit ticket every time I left. While the upgraded room with a sea view was nice, there are likely better options in the area.

The ease of which everything can be accessed and enjoyed at the GranSerena is its main pulling factor. Its location gained only 4 stars as it is one of many Italian resorts which is difficult to navigate onto a main route, but then 5 stars would be applicable because it has situated itself next to a fine Italian beach.

The stay was pleasant and I would say the following:
Pros
-restaurant staff are amazing! They made fresh food for us at the buffet if asked as we were vegetarian.
-beach is nice and good general facilities
- hotel offer good guided tour to Alberobello
Cons
-unless it’s meal time, it is very hard to fill up a water bottle (one day it was very hot and I was playing Tennis and could only get one cup of water at a time). Would be nice if there was somewhere to fill up water easily.
-main pool is extremely crowded, “Olympic pool” does not have a great vibe and is mostly useful if you would like to swim lengths
-entertainment for adults (singing) starts at 11pm, which feels a little late

-this is a VERY child focused hotel (0-13 years). I would not really recommend unless you have children.
-not many English speaker

Fantastic hotel. Giuseppe the manager was so helpful and professional as were all the other staff. Children were attended to so well in the kids club. Fully recommend for families with kids. Evening entertainment and food were superb

Friendly staff, the facilities are of excellent quality and carefully groomed. Very pleasent, only problem is the extremely loud entertainment on the beach... Impossible to have a conversation of any nature, we had 2 avoid the beach in the morning

The food was great & there was a huge variety offered every day.
The location is excellent, a short stroll along the beach or road to Torre Canne Centre.
The resort is very clean & well maintained.
The shows & evening entertainment are great.
All of the staff are extremely friendly.
It is perfect for families, there is so much for children to do.
