Reviews
The resort itself is stunning—beautifully maintained grounds, crystal-clear waters at the beach, and a perfect balance of relaxation and sports activities.
From the wellness facilities to the incredible food (a true celebration of all kinds of Italian flavors), every detail was top-notch.
Robinson Apulia is more than just a resort—it’s a community that knows how to create unforgettable moments. I can fully recommend it to everyone and can’t wait to return!
Being at the Robinson Apulia was such a beautiful experience. The hotel atmosphere is very special the moment you enter the location with a flair of lightness and nice summer vibes. The nature becomes always part of your view, a big highlight for us, and with the charming path that takes you to the sea which is so crystal clear and warm with a nice music background. As you discover the amenities and the resort activities, the location keeps surprising you and the staff and club director Lars Kretschmer were all very kind and helpful throughout our stay.
Our one and a half year old son had a blast, the so many pools he enjoyed, the sand castles he built at the breathtaking sunrises and sundowners at the beach, the visits of Roby that made him smile and sing and dance, and the best: the four day care (Kita) ladies including Silvana y Mirella were extremely nice and loving to our son, and cooked the most delicious Italian baby food too! The hotel restaurants have also charming views and served delicious and creative dishes and snacks at all times and the cleaning service from Donata and Elisabetta was really attentive to our (baby) needs.
We all had so much fun as a family with the daily themes, shows, and parties the event team so professionally prepared for us, there is a lot of variety and thought from Veronica Vitti and Antonio Santoro that made us have every time a wonderful evening full of surprises, art and music. As an artist, I appreciate the so much work and creativity on the organisation and presentation to the audience which one could see was all smiles with moments that will be remembered. We would highly recommend this resort, as it exceeds all expectations from a luxurious getaway or for a special occasion.
The first point I would like to emphasize is the issue of language barriers. I know this place is renowned internationally and that its headquarters are in Germany, so I completely understand that many staff members speak German. However, given the diverse international customer base, there should be at least one Italian-speaking staff member assigned to each activity.
For example, while I was participating in archery, the group consisted entirely of Italian speakers and one German staff member who did not speak Italian. Because of this, most of the communication had to be in English. At one point, an Italian child joined the activity, but he did not speak English at all. As a result, we guests had to translate for him instead of fully enjoying the activity ourselves. Unfortunately, by the end, the staff member gave up explaining to the guests and became absorbed in fixing the arrows instead.
What I mean is that, even though this is a German company, as long as the hotel is located in Italy, Italian customers will naturally be among the target audience. In fact, during the week I stayed here, no fewer than 70% of the guests were Italian. Therefore, I believe it is unacceptable that staff cannot communicate in Italian—the local language—and that paying guests are forced to fill this gap. A situation where Italians feel they are treated as inferior to German customers must be avoided. And judging from other reviews, this does not seem to be the first time such an issue has been raised.
Another important point is that the needs of families with children should be considered more carefully. While I appreciated the service for children aged 0–2, which allowed parents to have a short break, the options for school-age children (5–11 years old) were extremely limited. With little to keep them entertained, children often ended up running around aimlessly, popping decorative balloons, or playing tag, creating a chaotic atmosphere. As a result, it was far from a relaxing environment in which to enjoy dinner. The situation escalated in the evenings, with children playing knock-and-run in the corridors, further disturbing other guests. Even the Ferragosto show, which should have been a highlight, turned out to be confusing and poorly organized, leaving an impression of disorder rather than celebration.
However, not everything was overshadowed by these negative experiences. Thanks to the cheerful and kind conversations with the housekeeping staff, every morning began on a pleasant note. During the activities, I also had the chance to meet truly outstanding staff members. I joined boxing and cycling training sessions, and the instructors delivered excellent performances.
At the restaurant, the seaside Toratteria was very well organized, especially with the reservation system, and provided a service that far exceeded our expectations.
We are well aware that Robinson Club brings together many wonderful people who are genuinely dedicated to delivering excellent service. That is precisely why I hope the efforts of these individuals will not be overshadowed by negative experiences, and that improvements will be made regarding the conduct and morale of younger staff members, as well as the two points mentioned above.
We look forward to returning in the future :)
This hotel is truly amazing and perfect for families! There are so many different activities for all ages, ensuring everyone has a great time.
I came here planning to train for a cycling ride and initially thought I would rent a bike and spend most of the day cycling outside the hotel. However, after arriving, I didn’t feel comfortable with the roads and local traffic. Instead, I decided to try the spinning class with Anja—and it was the best decision! The bikes are modern and high-quality, and Anja’s energy and professionalism made the class both fun and challenging. It turned out to be a fantastic experience that exceeded my expectations.
My whole family had an unforgettable time, and we’re already planning to come back next year. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a family-friendly getaway with amazing activities and first-class service!
My family and I are loyal guests of Robinson Clubs. We choose your resorts because the quality is consistently high, and the experience is usually seamless and enjoyable—well worth the investment.
Unfortunately, our experience today was unexpectedly disappointing.
We arrived at the entrance with the intention of making a reservation and asked security if we could speak directly with reception. This seemed like a reasonable request. However, we were met with resistance by Antonio at the security gate, who made the situation unnecessarily difficult.
We fully understand and respect resort policies, and we did not ask anyone to break any rules. What we didn’t expect was to feel so unwelcome—especially when we came with the intention to become paying guests. To be honest, we were left shocked by how we were treated.
Interestingly, the tone of the interaction shifted only after my partner began speaking German. This raised concerns for us—should language really determine how someone is treated?
We hope you’ll take this feedback seriously. We remain fans of Robinson and still believe in the quality of your brand, but today’s experience did not reflect the values we’ve come to expect from your resorts.
