Villa Ersilia in Marina di Soverato

We left the hotel after two nights although we had booked five nights. We booked via booking.com, but the offerings/infrastructure of the hotel listed there were fakse, not available or broken. To be precise: 2 pools stated but one closed, the other did not appear clean to us, sauna = not available, whirlpool = not available, breakfast buffet = not available instead we were offered to take it in our room, we were 2 persoms the room had 1 chair no table … etc etc etc. the hotel said it wasn’t very booked, nevertheless we became a room with view to highway. We asked about all the pitfalls and wrong claims on website/booking.com but there was not a minimal concession by the hotel. They did not even offered us a room change to park view. Booking.com wasn’t helpful either, as long-term customers we are very disappointed with their services and help. Last but not least, the pictures of the hotel are from a smaller old part (old villa) that didn’t seem open when we were there. We were in bigger new part of the hotel with charme of the 1990s. We left earlier, and are super disappointed and feel highl irritated by the false information on booking.com and hotel website and the totally non-service or customer focus of hotel management. We would never (!) book again.

Terrible!15/08/2023 Mid-August with friends by the pool. Terrible lunch, all dishes left, even the waiters noticed and apologised. No discount applied We will never return!! 4 stars do not exist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor Villa Ersilia... abandoned to itself for too long, nothingness reigns here, because there is nothing! there is no management, there is no staff (little is unqualified), a structure without any type of ordinary or extraordinary maintenance, dirt reigns here, towels are delivered broken here, toilet paper is in short supply, as well as shampoo, and everything you need in a 4-star hotel bathroom. A beautiful property, badly treated, uncared for unloved left in a state of total sadness. I just ask you a favor, send someone to check the status of the hotel, please, thank you.

I booked my holiday in this property based on the photos seen on the internet: compared to other hotels in Soverato it didn't seem bad to me. In general the structure is not bad, it has excellent potential but is not taken care of enough, in the evening it is poorly lit and the entrance is unattended. The room we were given was in poor condition: the door was in terrible condition, the air conditioner was noisy and dripped water on the floor, not to mention the tub without a shower head and the water was cold for the entire stay. Even though I had warned of the lack of hot water, no action was taken and at the time of payment I was not even given a small discount for the inconvenience caused. Sorry to say but it wasn't a good stay; I'm making a point exclusively in favor of the always cheerful and helpful staff, but we're not sure about the management. The customer pays and demands the services, in doing so he never comes back. The breakfast was good and plentiful, there is no objection to this.
