Blu Tropea Maison B&B in Tropea

A wonderful bed and breakfast hotel! We chose this place mainly because of the view, and we absolutely did not regret it.

The view was simply breathtaking and made our stay truly unforgettable. Everything looks even more beautiful in person than in the photos, it was honestly amazing.

The location is also fantastic. It takes only about 8–9 minutes to walk to the beach, and there are lots of restaurants, cafés and shops all around. The hotel is right in the heart of Tropea, so it’s very convenient for exploring the town and enjoying the atmosphere.

The breakfast was good and perfectly fine for a B&B.

The only small thing I would mention is the air conditioning. There was an air conditioner in the room, but since it was a portable unit rather than a wall-mounted one, it wasn’t as powerful as we would have liked. However, it still worked and was definitely helpful.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend this place, especially if you want an incredible view, a great location and to be right in the heart of Tropea!

Everything great. But if your room don't have sea view then it's very noisy, especially in the morning between 5 and 8 pm when the garbage is been taken away.

Our stay in Tropea was absolutely wonderful, and this hotel made the experience truly unforgettable. The view from our room was breathtaking — waking up every morning to the sea right outside the window felt like a dream. The atmosphere was peaceful, beautiful, and full of authentic Italian charm.

What made our stay especially special was the incredible hospitality of Ornella. She was always so kind, caring, and genuinely warm with us from the very first day. Every morning she welcomed us with breakfast and a smile that made us feel completely at home. One day she even treated us to homemade pesto and a delicious spread prepared by her husband — such a thoughtful and personal gesture that we will remember for a long time. We would return here without hesitation and already miss the sea view, the cozy mornings, and especially Ornella’s kindness. Highly, highly recommended!

I stayed here for just under a week and the highlight of my stay was the customer care and service provided specifically by the housekeeper - Ornella. She provided us with so much care and support during our stay. We struggled to find trains that would operate on the day that we were leaving but Ornella helped us in every way she possibly could, plus offering to make us a coffee whenever we wanted. She also left our rooms unbelievably clean and comfortable. Cannot recommend this place enough, and the highlight of tropea was staying in a place where we were looked after with such care.

I had a fantastic stay at Blu Tropea! The location was extremely convenient, making it easy to explore the beautiful town. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free, and my room was spotless every day. Ornella truly went above and beyond to make my stay perfect — she prepared fresh coffee and breakfast for me each morning, kept my room immaculate, and even made sure I had everything I needed to enjoy Tropea to the fullest. Thanks to her warm hospitality and attention to detail, my experience here was absolutely wonderful.

This was an amazing stay at an amazing property, in such a historical building, it was very important for me to have a view from the historic Tropea Skyline, the room was very comfortable and big, there is air conditioning, some review said there wasn't, there is definitely air conditioning. A delicious breakfast each morning, and such a hospitable staff that made you feel like you were a family rather than a guest. Don't hesitate on booking as this is one of the few hotels available in the skyline, and of course enjoy that view.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tropea Blu Maison. It’s set in an original, rustic building full of charm, located right on a beautiful piazza overlooking the beach. The location is ideal — the piazza has plenty of great bars and restaurants just steps away. We highly recommend opting for the ocean view upgrade — it was absolutely worth it and made our mornings and evenings feel extra special. A special mention to Orlana, who made our breakfasts something to look forward to every day with her warmth and hospitality. Just be aware: this is a very basic accommodation, so don’t expect a 5-star experience — it’s all about character, not luxury. Also, travel light: you’ll need to carry your own luggage through the town and up a few flights of stairs. There’s no car access to the property. All in all, a great stay if you’re looking for charm, views, and location over creature comforts.
