Reviews
What was on good european quality level:
-localisation - great beach & sea, fast connection with highway and local roads, nice spot in Lido (close to shops, restaurants, parks, playgrounds for kids)
-nice sea view
-generally friendly personnel
Poor quality:
-comunication - 90% of hotel guests are Italians, so the hotel employes doesn't speak English or German - only one animator spekas good EN, so forget about normal comunication, get use to Google Translator (this is standard in here)
-FOOD- fresh bread was served only on our last day. Butter, drinks, and tea often ran out. The quality of meals declined sharply after the third day, with the introduction of cheap options like pangasius, monkfish, poor-quality meats, and unappetizing soups. Seafood was no longer offered. We eventually resorted to eating pasta with salad and tomatoes daily, with the only variation being a plate of deli meats. Breakfast consisted of just three items: overcooked scrambled eggs, sour pseudo-bacon, and something akin to sausages. Hot food was never replenished, and by 8:40 a.m., there was very little left to eat. The breakfast selection was limited to boiled eggs, two kinds of jam, and a low-quality assortment of packaged snacks. The only highlight was the croissants, which were delicious.
-Cleanliness -the room and hallways were dirty. Upon arrival, the floor was unclean, and trash was left in bins and drawers. Under the bed were dust bunnies, and the cleaning service was poor throughout our stay. Linens were never changed—one set for a 10-day stay is below a 1-star standard.
-Parking -the hotel advertises free parking, but this is misleading. There are only 6-8 spaces, most of which are used by the staff. Other parking is in paid blue zones, and parking in nearby private spots often leads to fines and conflicts. The free parking information should be removed, as it was one of the reasons we chose this hotel
-Bathroom condition -the bathroom fixtures were in poor condition, with rust and heavy wear, making them barely functional.
-Friday dessert buffet - this was a important point for our kids, but it turned out to be disappointing. Instead of a full dessert buffet, a few types of cakes were served. Even the cream-filled items were semi-frozen. The “buffet” was actually a small slice of a selected dessert, with staff serving tiny, frozen portions, which is something we’ve never encountered before.
-Service delays - due to a limited number of waitstaff, meals were delayed by 15-20 minutes despite being ordered a day in advance. Each meal (a four-course service) took at least an hour. On the day of the dessert buffet, dinner was delayed by over 30 minutes without any prior notice, leaving guests to wait in the hallway. Cutlery, plates, and coffee cups were frequently in short supply.
-Insect infestation - upon arrival, we found small insects in the bathroom. While we initially thought this was a one-time issue, by the second day, we realized there was an ant infestation on the fifth floor. We purchased insect repellent and dealt with the nest ourselves.
-Italian theme night - this was the worst experience in terms of food and wait time, lasting nearly two hours. It consisted of the animator shouting into a microphone and delayed service of the same dishes served on other nights, with only a poorly prepared roasted pig as a new addition (the meat was raw, with a foul odor). Tiramusu was disgusting.
-Children’s entertainment - there was supposed to be a play area or club for children, an indoor playground, but no such facilities existed in the hotel.
I can add much more but I will not bore you, this is not 3* hotel, don't go there unless you are very tolerant and don't have big empiric comparison in case of hotels in Europe.
Very friendly waiters.
The manager never came to introduce himself and ask us if everything was okay.
No reception and very cold animators.
A big disappointment because I went there 8 years ago and it was a thousand times nicer
Too bad because it is well located.
He would just have to change the manager and the cook.
