Felix Hotels - Hotel La Coluccia in Santa Teresa Gallura

The hotel does not seem safe to us. We had money stolen from our room while we were out for dinner. So did at least three other families on the same night (money, watches etc. taken from the safe which someone broke open). The hotel is completely open from the back. Anyone can just walk in and no-one will notice. There are no locked gates, not even a closed door. All entrances are wide open. There are no cameras. The Hotel Management did not seem to take it seriously.

There was a lot of noice around our room (the 220-suite): There is a ‘cleaning room’ right next to our room (door to door, and wall to wall). The cleaning started to fill the cleaning trolleys very early in the morning, and kept using the room to do so all day. We asked if they could at least not smack the door everytime they went in and out - that did not seem possible. Also, the room is located right above two very noisy areas = the kitchen and the restaurant. When the restaurant starts moving tables around at 7:00 in the morning, we of course all woke up. And this noice from moving around of furniture continues for hours.

Generally, the hotel seems more worn down than we would have expected.

The private spa in our suite did not work when we arrived, and was not fixed during our stay (7 days).

The WiFi did not work well (low/no connection throughout our stay).

The food at the restaurant did in no way match what we have experienced at other Felix hotels.

We came from two other Felix hotels that had a completely different and much more well-functioning atmosphere. It’s unfortunate that La Coluccia is being run the way it is, with the lovely location of La Coluccia. It could be great, but it is just not.
