Tenuta Pilastru Country Resort & Spa in Arzachena

We stayed in a number of locations in Sardinia. I feel like there are mixed pros and cons here compared to other locations. I don't believe it is worth the cost comparable to other locations at a similar level. The rooms are dated, the bathrooms really sub bar. It feels like a dated hacienda style room you'd find in an old Arizonian golf course. The shower was never hot, and flooded the room. The staff work hard and the same faces seem to be everywhere from breakfast to dinner, working very hard to serve customers - they were lovely. The food is ok, but very basic and kind of fine if you don't want to leave and eat somewhere decent. The pool is nice, but small with a lot of people around and in it. The highlight was the spa and we had a wonderful service there. Checkout was a mess so I suggest if you have an early flight, area ge the night before.

The setting is beautiful with interesting rock formations on the property and rooms separated by open grass and trees. The bar is beside the pool and the restaurant above the pool area for a nice view. The rooms have authentic Sardinian decor with huge, beautiful wooden doors. Front desk was terrific, very warm and helpful. Fantastic place. Nice breakfast with many homemade pastries and jams, big selection and high quality.

We truly enjoyed our three day stay at this resort. Fantastic location, elegant, and spacious and clean rooms. Nice swimming pool and garden. Enough sunbeds and trees to find a place in the shade. This resort is remotely located, so dinner on site is recommended. The menu changes daily and has a small but good choice of local dishes and wines. Food was excellent. One of the best restaurants we visited during our 10 day stay on Sardegna. The only comment I could give is that the drinks from the poolbar are disproportionately high. Other than that, no comments. I can highly recommend a stay at this resort.

Beautiful property!! It was so peaceful being in the hills and the grounds were gorgeous. We enjoyed having our breakfast in the hotel restaurant, as well as having our dinner. Lovely stay.

Beautiful hotel in amongst the rock formations that sculpt the landscape in this part of Sardinia. The builds are themed to look like Sardinian farm buildings, but behind this facade the rooms are spacious and well equipped, even the lowest priced classic room that we had. Cleanliness was also very good in the rooms, communal areas and even the gardens. Due to the remoteness and the nearest town being 7 minutes drive away, it was very peaceful at any time of the day with no noise whatsoever. We used the restaurant and enjoyed the busyness on the first night where we sat indoors near a local family having a birthday celebration. On the second night we sat outside on the decking set into the rock formation. Food was good value and tasty, very cheap house red wine or a good selection of bottled whites. The pool was cleaned daily and was a good temperature and generally very quiet with no problem getting a sun bed. We didn't use the spa so can't comment on that.

Superb hotel with a beautiful, natural setting. Extremely quiet and peaceful. Very attentive staff. We enjoyed three dinners in the hotel restaurant which were all excellent. Highest recommendation!

Beautiful resort in Sardinia and so peaceful and calm. Some rooms have private pool. Restaurant amazing and close to beaches (20 min. Drive). Should be 5 Star.

This place was the the best hotel we’ve stayed in Sardinia. It feels like a resort with a rustic aesthetic. Breakfast was amazing- lots of healthy options with a variety of yoghurt, ham, cheese, pastries, cereals, fruits.

Every corner of this estate is very photogenic. There are also some massive boulders behind the houses which allowed us to explore. Highly recommend to spend full 20 hours here to relax, chill, recharge.

We stayed there for two nights on our fly drive holiday, we wished it was longer. The hotel is amazing and a wonderful base to explore the North East Coast, we booked trips from Palau. The young lady in the bar was amazing, she made the best limoncello spritz, she was excellent even when it got really busy. The restaurant staff were superb, every one of them. Special mention must
be made of the receptionist, she couldn't have been more helpful and professional. We would highly recommend this resort, it has some very unique features, just sorry we couldn't have stayed longer. We will definitely return
