Residence Le Bouganville in Villasimius

The hotel itself is very good.
We had deluxe room and it was just perfect for us.
Big, clean and quiet.
People at reception are great and happy to help.
Cleaning was done every day. Beach towels changed daily w/o additional charge.

But…Food and drinks are complete disaster and it spoiled all good impression we had for this hotel.
Breakfast:
Only fruits, bread, pastries, some cheese and ham are available.
If you want some eggs - pay money.
Even more, they will made you an omelette using just 1 egg and add cheese, ham and bread from the main table (which you already paid for).
And even when you pay extra - the breakfast will have no taste.
Also, only one coffee per person is included in the breakfast price. Want more? Pay more money.
And of course they will charge you x4 from the cafe price.
Total ripoff.

Dinners:
Only a la carte menu available. Just two options: fish and meat menu.
The food is bland and has no flavor. And it happened every day with every single dinner.
Not sure what’s wrong with the chef or with hotel food approach in general.
We had an impression that we get yesterday’s food from food courts heated in microwave. And sometimes even that was not done properly as we often received cold dishes.

And forgot to mention: no vegetables or salads in any meal. I am not sure what’s wrong did veggies do to deserve such neglecting.
Waiters: there were at least 4 of them for every dinner (for 4-5 tables) and they still brought you dished with long delays, asked several times what drinks you want to order and forgot about your order.

My recommendation: book this hotel but with no meal.

Apt is basic and could be made much nicer with little bit more effort. Equipment within hotel basic too not even a kettle. Only a hob. Near to beach. Hotel has sunbeds charged at between €35 - €50 euros for 2. Staff friendly at hotel but hotel very quiet even though was supposedly full. Lacked atmosphere but then food and drink was so expensive for what it was I can understand why no one eat or drank there. Some days never saw another person at the pool. Staff looked bored as had nothing to do all day (when we were there) very quiet so we ventured out a lot and at night stayed in. TV but no English channels or Netflix app so not that option if has day out and wanted to stay in. Rooms cleaned twice in 7 days which was fine by us. Sea view but not a large balcony as in photos so slightly misleading having paid extra money for sea view and photos showing a large balcony with sun beds ( that was not the case) would not return if came back would try and find somewhere with more atmosphere too quiet for us - and we wanted relaxing but this was too quiet.
