We stayed at this hotel. It wasn't a pleasant experience despite the popular location, the high season, and the price, which was anything but cheap.
Rooms: Not soundproofed at all; you could honestly hear the toilet flushing. Very nice balcony with a mountain view, adequately sized.
Services: Despite having been given a specific price for the spa, and they knew exactly when we would be arriving, we found the price inflated without any explanation. Furthermore, the spa was completely soaked from previous guests and was really, really poorly maintained.
We dined in their restaurant for convenience and:
- a legume soup
- a tagliata
- an entrecotte
- two glasses of wine
- two gin and tonics and two coffees
€131. No menu or receipt. Not allowed.
- Location: good and quiet. 15 minutes from the ski lifts.

My wife and I have never been so welcomed at a hotel. We loved every minute we were there, they are so friendly. Our car couldn't reach their parking lot due to snow, but we called and they plowed the drive way for us and the lady walked out to where we were parked to walk us inside, Also a quick 5-10 minute drive to the ski area.

Clean rooms equipped with every comfort. Excellent buffet breakfast; desserts prepared by the owner of the hotel: the strudel and apple pies are the top. Asia, her mother and Mr. Pecorella very kind and polite; it was a real pleasure to spend the mid-August weekend at the Garni 'Astoria. Mrs. Italy, a very sweet woman. Highly recommended.

We stayed two nights, very nice and characteristic Hotel. The very nice rooms, perfectly furnished in a mountain hut style. The staff very polite and kind, always attentive to any request. Great breakfast. I highly recommend it. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

I tried to book a stay at this hotel. We are two adults and two children aged 4 and 1. I was attacked and mortified by telephone because I was offered a triple room with a single bed (which, however, is impossible for me to use with two very small children as they could fall down). So, to my request for a double bed with a cot, I was answered: lady, you don't decide the arrangement, you are 4 people and therefore you have to take a triple (with a higher cost of course), to conclude with a "lady if you go to another hotel ”with an aggressive tone. Zero professionalism, zero courtesy, and above all zero understanding towards children. Hotel is not recommended for such rude and rude person. I will happily pay double in another hotel, but never again will I go to the Astoria hotel.

I stayed with my wife and my 7 and 3 year old children, the structure is well cared for down to the smallest detail (Ampezzo style), the staff always helpful and courteous, the exclusive SpA very nice and clean. The hotel is located two hundred meters from the center of Roccaraso. We will definitely be back.
