Lyskamm in Breuil-Cervinia

We went in for a mid ski coffee break. They were very un accommodating. Wouldn’t let us sit in certain chairs which were for the hotel only. Rude staff

the staff at the location were extremely rude and impolite, they were slow to order and when we asked them questions they huffed and puffed at me. we came for a drink and some food and they repeatedly ignored us. i wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and am definitely not coming back. what a shame

Unfortunately, this was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and for the first time, I feel compelled to write a 1-star review. The hotel is now under new management, and unfortunately, the new owners – who actively work in both the restaurant and reception – were extremely rude and unaccommodating in so many ways. Their attitude made us feel incredibly uncomfortable and afraid to ask question almost as if we were unwelcome intruders to their home.(they do live at the hotell) We have never experienced anything like this before. This was not just a one-time issue but rather frequent recurring theme throughout our stay for 7 nights with multiple incidents that left us and other guest absolutely shocked by their unprofessionalism. communication was unclear and inconsistent. You are expected to know certain rules that there isn’t any information about. The overall service really lacked warmth and hospitality, making our stay far from relaxing. You will feel constantly monitored and watched and they use cameras. We felt on edge the whole time rather than a warm and inviting atmosphere for their guests. To make matters worse, the owners would frequently walk past our window, glaring inside . It was unsettling. The rooms were small and had a strong, unpleasant odor that never seemed to go away. No matter how much we aired out the room, the stale and musty smell lingered. As the hotel operates on a half-board basis, we had both breakfast and dinner included. While breakfast was good, the dinners were a letdown. The food quality did not meet expectations, and the dining experience was made worse by the overly strict meal schedule. Dinner was served between 18:30 and 20:00, and when we arrived at 19:00 – well within the designated time – we were rudely scolded for being “late.” Instead of a welcoming atmosphere. The only real positive aspect of this hotel is its beautiful location, but with so many other options available in Cervinia, I strongly recommend choosing a different place to stay. We visit Cervinia every year and have always had wonderful experiences – until now. This hotel, under its new management, was a complete disappointment. Save yourself the trouble and book elsewhere. Enjoy Cervinia to the fullest!
