Hotel Bijou in Valtournenche

Amazing service. All the staff are kind and very helpful. This feels more like staying with a family than at a hotel. The room is spacious and the bed is just perfect- not too hard not too soft. Breakfast is great with fresh coffee and eggs are cooked to order. The hotel has ample parking and is near restaurants. It’s only about 15 minutes drive from Cervinia.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly, everything was clean and comfortable, and we would gladly come back.

Likes: The hotel is very nice, cozy and confortable. It has rooms with tables to stay outside the room with friends. It has ski room which keeps your skis and boots warm.
The staff is very polite and helpful. There is one Romanian lady at the restaurant which is very attentive to details and serves you very well. The hotel offers free parking in the large parking lot just in front. They also offer free transportation at any time to and from the nearest ski lift with their personal van.

Dislikes: The included food for breakfast and supper is not that varied and quite lacks the classic italian taste, but it is good for the price paid. Pasta and pizza is quite bad.

The hotel is a good accomodation and is in the center of the village. It has it is own bus for ski, but also the village bus is 100m away. The rooms are small, but clean and cleaning is daily. The baths are modern enough with everything that you need. Food : for breakgast is only missing the vegetables which are enough for dinner. The dinner is more than enough and the taste are genneraly good. We have a problem with the meat, it was pretty dry somehow. The pasta are good, the aperitive also and a special note for the deserts. The owner is a nice guy and five stars for Eliza who was always very carefully with us all and gave us the best advice.

We have not stayed here, but we had the MOST lovely dinner here. Not once, but three (!!) nights we enjoyed the ambience, very friendly staff and delicious dinner here during our one week stay in Paquier. Dinner consists of a daily changing menu that is simple, yet delicious and served in a traditional Italian way (aperitivo (sometimes) + bread and grissini + salad bar, then primi piatti, secondi piatti and finally dessert). For primi & secondi there are 3 choices (inc vegetarian) and for dessert 5. We paid 20€ per person for a whole menu - incomparable to other places in the village, as these are much more expensive and not better in taste, service or ambience than Hotel Ristorante Bijou. Wines, cocktails (I recommend the local Negroni & Valdostana (not sure about the name, but there's orange juice, lemon soda and genepy in it)!) are really nice and affordable as well. The staff is very friendly and accommodating (we asked for some cheese and meat with the drinks before dinner and they happily provided us with some) and they go around the restaurant to ask if someone would like an extra portion if there were leftovers. I recommend everyone to go here!
We felt very welcomed here and look forward to return - perhaps we then stay in the hotel as well!
Plus point: the dog could join and I saw there is a shuttle bus to the Valtournenche Cime Bianche gondola.
