Agriturismo Laire Alberobello in Alberobello

Poorly equipped property, located in a natural setting.
The apartment was run-down and very dirty, with old, poorly maintained, and dusty furniture. The linens were dated, and there were cobwebs near the beds. We reported the various issues to the host, who justified his decision by saying that the room had been cleaned immediately after its last use, but had not been thoroughly cleaned and freshened upon our arrival.
The bathroom had obvious leaks, and the shower contained an old radiator.
The host suggested we wait until the following day for the apartment to be cleaned, but given the unacceptable conditions, we preferred to look for another place to stay. Furthermore, the host was aware of the poor service and agreed with our decision to leave, but did not offer a refund of the €100 deposit (25%).
Since it's a farmhouse, we weren't expecting hotel-like service, but since it's a high-season accommodation, a certain standard of cleanliness should be guaranteed.
We strongly advise against this property.

Unfortunately, this agriturismo is past its prime. The mini apartment offered to us for €78/night (2 adults + 1 small child) had the standard of the 1960s and was more functional than lovingly furnished. The cot was always made available to us free of charge in other accommodations, here they asked €10 for it. The owner, while friendly, doesn't speak English, which makes communication difficult. We couldn't pay with debit card because the machine didn't work. The included breakfast was offered very carelessly: dirty saucer, paper plates, plastic cups for cold drinks, 1 slice of bread, 1 warm chocolate croissant and 2 biscuits for the adults, the child wasn't even considered. Butter was only available on request, homemade products as usual in other agriturismo were not in the breakfast assortment (although chickens and a vegetable patch are available). The owner's sister was rather odd, offering nothing from her vegetable garden when we met her at work there. In short: value for money completely inadequate!
