Playa del Mar in Monopoli

Air-conditioning wouldn't drop below 26°C during Monopoli's extreme heat in July 23. T-shirt found under pillow in our room, reception said this would be passed on to mgmt. Issue was never addressed. Staff walked into our room unannounced, and without knocking, this is not good practice. Even with a do not disturb sign staff not being used, staff always knock in our experience.
The tub in the bathroom is not sealed, so risks flooding the bathroom if used. Hairs found on cheeses offered with breakfast on day two. The pool needs to be cleaned as there is a yellow rim around it.
The location is good, and the roof terrace has great potential, but they seem understaffed, leading to oversights listed.

The worst spent money ever!
We were travelling around Puglia for a few days. This was the most expensive and was supposed to be the most premium hotel of our trip. We paid almost 300€ per night (the room with jacuzzi). The jacuzzi was laud and broken (almost no bubbles). In the room there was a book full of do's and don'ts e.g. If you loose the card to your room they would charge you 100€. Ridiculous! The room itself was also a little bit damaged... At the reception there was lots of mess, on the terrace it was loud due to construction. The brekfast was one od the worst we've had in italy. You could not choose anything or ask for more of anything. And they want to charge you for everything. 5€ per luggage sturage! I mean come on. We paid alrwady 300... in every other hotel / b& b such services vere included even though we paid 100€ per room. In the end, it was supposed to be a luxurious, nice stay. It was a BIG disappointment, not worth the price. I DO NOT reccomend.

Hotel had no electric when we arrived and receptionist had no idea when it would be on, No elevator, had dipping pool in room and smell of chemicals from pool forced us to not stay the second night. No refund offered when I explained of chemical smell, offered a different room but had already been turned off of property and overall condition was final straw, rooftop pool and dining area was poorly executed and made property feel very unkept
